When at 117 km/h on the speedo the indicator for fuel flow shows just 2 diodes the carburetor is TOO LEAN! You'll 1st ruin the crankshaft and 2nd the entire engine! 😳 Don't forget that the only source for lubrication in a 2-stroke engine comes with the fuel.

@@andreaskern2980 der Trabi von meinen Eltern lief auch über 120 Km/h so um die 123 Km/h auf der Autobahn ...das hatte ich auch mit meiner ETZ 250 mehrmals überprüft. Wenn das nicht stimmen sollte, dann hätten ja auch alle beiden Tachos falsch gehen müssen.

These LED circle shows you the instantaneous fuel consumption. The longer the circle the higher the consumption. This modell is a newer one it has only 7 LEDs in this gauge. (green and yellow) The older ones had two more LEDs which were red. :)

Look carefully at the speedometer of this car. The car passes 100 meters in 4 seconds. This only means that the real speed of the car is 90 km/h. The speedometer greatly overestimates the speed of this car.
Running 4500 rpm - about the maximum - with little throttle, and you are killing the engine efficiently. No gas = no mixture = no oiling. So push it, than release the throttle, than push again: this is the way to drive a 2-stroke with a free-running transmission. Without this technique you can of course make 10, 20 or even more thousand of kilometres, but if you want to save your engine, please avoid high revs / low throttle combination. that will not have been on "little throttle" it will have been at or near 100%. Also, 4th gear in a Trabant has freewheel, so when slowing there is no risk of drying out the engine.

Fuel consumption is that rounded LED bar that second gauge but here doesn´t work properly. Red LED is low fuel level but works only when additional fuel float is in fuel tank :)
na tohle byli němci precizní... trabant tachometr do 120 a jel 120. wartburg stupnici do 150 a jel 150, 250MZ do 140 a jela 140 a ne jak ty naši šašci ve škodove, kdy měla š105L tacho do 180 a tohle rychlost to umelo jen při pádu ze skály

Barkas B1000 has tremendous torque for a one liter two stroke engine. I hauled tons and tons of load with it. great German make.

The light is the fuel useage, quite creative work how they did it to properly read fuel consumption, i cant recall the specifics sadly.

The 4th gear has a freewheel so it goes into neutral when you take your leg off the throttle
