    ___________
Our little nonprofit builds hyperadobe tiny homes with zero experience. In 8 months, we engineered, pushed, and struggled to make a square roof on this roundhouse.
Hyperadobe is a type of earthbag technique that uses netted bags instead of superadobe Cal-Earth style bags. This future home for one of our residences uses numerous natural building techniques like passive solar, earthen walls, reclaimed glass bottle art, earthen floors, and more.
    Thanks for watching!

Off the top of my head we are at about $1500 for cement, $700 in bags, $4000 for the roof, $1000 in windows and doors, and then the rest in misc electrical, plumbing, cabinets, etc.

@@fredk4136 Yeah, gotta be able and willing to do it yourself, and to ask friends, church members, or strangers seeking community service opportunities, to help. Have to be willing to make progress slowly for the great end result.

The only sad part is those disgusting plastic bags are needed for all the soil. It would be nicer if it was all wood or rock or something.

Plastic isn't ideal, but at least it's not single use... and does significantly cut down on the other grossness such as toxic insulation, paints, etc, etc. Not perfect, but pretty good.

I asked Bing's AI what alternative could be used to fulfill this, and it said you can use a wood mold, pour in your mixture, stamp it down, and let it dry in the sun for a few days. Then use it as bricks.
