We didn’t know how much it means to you guys. We’ve been visiting these tanks from our teenage days and considered them scrap. Hope after your video our authorities take cognisance and preserve them or just hand them over to you guys for restoration. Thanks for the credits.😊
Come rajasthan state of india here in lonewala Pakistanis m47 &m48 are there in open desert. Many. were destroyed.at.that.time especially in the battle of longewala do search about this battle we took some in museum some are still in the desert close to border . They were mostly destroyed by hf24 marut and mig21.of that time that hf24 was A10 of india it had 4 30mm guns which anhilated Pakistanis tanks
Awesome finds , perhaps if the stars aligned and fingers crossed the best remaining examples might still be saved , better to be a static display than cut up , melted down and lost forever
Those tanks are worth a fair bit of money so don't give them away. Restoring historic vehicles is a high end business. Their value as scrap is a trifle by comparison and any hull can be restored given that range hulk halves are routinely welded together.
That down to the Indian authority's, they have been told about them, you can see they are going to be cut up if left, sadly nobody is interested in selling or rescuing them.
God bless you for that, yeah, it would be the cost of restoring one, let alone transporting it to wherever, I know this from looking into moving 'historic' (wrecks actually!) Aircraft here in the UK to save them from the scrap man!!!! Jeep up the good military history conservation work guy's!!!!!!! 👍🪖🎖️
,, Hobart`s Funnys" ! Must all have bin DD`s in british service ; have look at the antenna feet on left front side. This Shermans have long hull with wide span wheelbase . I didn`t know what engine powered this Shermans ? I guess the Chrysler Multi bank ? I build all Sherman versions in 1:35 Scale and i got this DD version scale 1:35 model made by RESICAST . What a sinn to let this unike parts of ww2 history rotten , in every way a very interesting part for enthusiastic restorers & collecors !
"These tanks are hidden from tank hunters' maps." (after posting the bloody coordinates of each of them on the World Wide Web) These really aren't in terrible shape; I've seen crazy people with lots of money restore tanks that were barely identifiable as TANKS. This is also the first time in 40 years of being a tank enthusiast that I ever noticed the sweeping front fenders and the 'bow' between the treads. Hoping to get an update on these rare tanks, soon.
"These tanks are hidden from tank hunters' maps"? If you watch it again, there are others that we have not told the World Wide Web about and "these tanks are not on any tank hunters' maps"

Thanks for all your help Kapil
What a great job the guy in the digger did of uncovering the tank
Wonderful history ! It's a shame the army refuses to let you restore them, particularly the 2 they knew nothing about !
Thanks for sharing this amazing video. I hope there's a part 2 someday.
Appreciated, uncovering history of India

That’s insane wow I can’t believe that they found those tanks
Someone please save these tanks before the scrappers eliminate this part of History
WILL ALWAYS EXIST.
ON VIDEO.
Will there ever be a time when man can find peace?

Now that everyone knows where they are, are they going to be put up for safekeeping and restored or will the scrappers get there first?

@@514thmick there are in some museums I guess but not all.
At least they could auction them. It's a shame that these rare tanks are rotting away.
Wow stil lbeing found.
Incredible
Problem with these tanks are their weight and size...you can't just chuck them on the back of a flatbed and drive off..they weight what? 20-30 tons?
32 tons & why cant you winch them onto a low bed? This is India. They will haul it on a tandem body job
@@gordswaitkewich940, well let's see if they do..or whether they end up in a smelter...
thats almost a standard load in Australia
Traveled India a lot, seen a Bren carrier in the south rusting away and a unknown tank chaise less turret at a railway station in the north.
What is it with the bogies.. DDs had the same thing. Sad i know.. love it keep up the good work.
12:15, OMG, I wonder who much BEER they bought with all the metal that was cannibalized from that Rare Sherman Tank???
My heavens, I wish these could be brought back to life someday but I highly doubt it given the country they’re in, way too much red tape.
Seen it ... VERY GOOD.

The Sherman DD's are Mark 3's in this video and so are built on the M4A2 hull with the twin GM diesel engines fitted.
