      KRX for strength and Pro for power and instruments. There is not a perfect machine out there but if you could you would have to get parts from every brand kawi, BRP, Pol ,Honda and yamaha and price from CF moto.

    Suspension geometry is by far superior in the KRX but the KRX needs another 50hp. Was the KRX in 2WD?

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  2 роки тому

      The suspension geometry on the KRX was the best until the Pro R came out but it’s for sure better than my Pro XP. Even the springs are better on the KRX, mine are just about shot and he has over 1000 more miles on his. We were both in 4x4 on the drag race and he switched modes mid track battle and picked up a second or two. I think if he was in 4WD the whole time it would’ve been close!

      They are both amazing machines. It comes down to what you like to do more of. Both are amazing on trails, the KRX is a little better at going slow where the pro likes to go fast. Part 2 of this video will really showcase what the two machines can do in low gear!

    On the jumping the krx looked very plush whereas the pro seemed to bottom out hard

    • @SchmidtysOffroad

      The KRX for sure seemed to like the landing better. I was hitting pretty hard in the front end for sure. The back seemed okay but the front was soft. I had it in the firm mode which was crazy it still bottomed out. That’s one of the first things people do on the Pro xp is new springs. I think they are in my future!

    When you were jumping were you in firm ? Most machines would be close on a track like that with all those turns .. when are you gonna throw some 32s on the pro ? Help a lot on rocking n trailing ..

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  2 роки тому

      Surprisingly I was in firm and it still bottomed out hard. I really need to upgrade the springs this year. I keep going back and forth on 32s. I want to find a good set of the 32” coyotes from a turbo s and run those. I had a set on when I went to Moab and I loved it. The extra clearance was really nice!

      How many miles do you have the pro ? Mines a 2021 pro xp ultimate same as yours , only have 390 miles on mine the springs still working so far , I m gonna have to get springs to 🤪🔫 it never ends .. I put on system 3 bead lock 15s rims and went with system 3 RT 320s , 32 inch tires , they have a lot to choose from .. rims n tires added for all four 56 pounds and it’s running good no problems, I m out in Las Vegas n we do a lot of rocking n trails n some sand and those tires run well , been running 9 lbs in the front 10 n the back and that’s the sweet spot .. those stock tires are not even 30s n very light n thin , I drove them for a week and I hated them , plus I was hitting alot of 💩 - thinking about getting the scoop it looks bad ass 👍🏻

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  2 роки тому

      @@benparker4230 yeah 32 adds a decent amount of weight, I think the coyotes on just stock tires added close to 50lbs! And I have right around 650 miles so nothing crazy, I’m hoping to get out a lot more this year and get some miles on it. Im just starting to really get into fun riding with it. Hitting the dunes in a few weekends and I’ll be running 32” paddles. I love the power and how it handles as it sits now but with better springs it’ll get better. It’s a never ending thing with these machines! My old 400ex was the same, started with nerf bars and by the time I sold it I had suspension and motor work done lol but hey, I’d rather spend money doing what’s fun then to just waste it on other shit!

      I have ran them once already and it’s amazing with paddles. You don’t need them but I like it with the paddles. And yeah the weight adds up, with the full skid plate, bumper, and windshield I’m just over 2000lbs

    I’ve got the Pro XP on order… KRX is a sweet machine but seems that it’s better suited for a slower/uphill lifestyle. I want something you can really throw into a corner and dominate a track with. Definitely curious to see part two!

      People dog on Polaris a lot for quality issues but I could pick 10 things out of any machine that are quality issues. Kawasaki, Can Am, and don’t get me started on Speed UTV lol. It really comes down to in my opinion how you drive the machine each weekend and how you maintain them. I see people totaling them in a few hours and others getting 10k miles out of them with minor issues.

So he bought a stock exhaust and put it back on. I’ll have to see if he is still running the tune, he also has a new clutch kit so that might help also

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  Рік тому

      That would be a pretty good idea, would be a good test for both drivers. The KRX sounds like it’s going 90mph all the time because of how high revving it is, the Pro could barely get into the power really. Downside of a really right track like that

  • @jasonr.9520
    @jasonr.9520 9 місяців тому

    Lol it was never going to be close when it came to a drag race. The pro xp is a turbocharged machine and the krx isnt. The krx is a very very well built machine, but its about 300lbs heavier no turbo and is geared to have better low end torque. In the sand dunes the pro would destroy the krx.....in the rocks or on a rough technical trail you cant beat the krx. The kawasaki is a better machine for a lot of reasons to be honest. People get hung up on horsepower and speed too much in my opinion. The kawasaki has better suspension, true beadlock tires, beefier A arms, trailing arms, better seats and doors, true locking diferential, better skid plates, mud scrapers for the disc brakes ect. It really does depend on what you're looking to do with it more than anything. Dollar for dollar though the KRX is the better machine.

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  9 місяців тому

      Yeah it 100% depends on what you want to do with the machine! The KRX is a beast I’ll give it that but I really wanted the power. I will say it still needs a better skid plate. My dad didn’t upgrade his and yeah it has a metal skid on the bottom but it’s way too thin and bent like crazy right away. The suspension is really good though and I like the beefier components. It’s so much bigger than all that parts on the pro xp

      😆😆😆😆😆 then why is it that almost every video with any Polaris newer than a rzr 900 they break something? The krx videos rarely ever break anything and when they do it’s on the gnarliest obstacles and going full send. They are in two different classes but not entry level and whatever you think the pro is lol. They’re a rock crawler and an overhyped pos that needs many $1000s of upgrades to just do black and double black trails without snapping axles and blowing diffs.

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  2 роки тому

      @@marka1712 700 hard miles on my pro and I haven’t had to replace anything on it. The old Polaris rzrs had issues, every machine has issues but 95% of the people that break these machines don’t know how to drive and come down off jumps full throttle and wonder why they snap axels. It’s crazy what these machines will do if you actually respect what they are capable of and don’t beat the hell out of them. They took a bone stock pro r with the minimum safety requirements in modifications and raced in the Baja 1000 and only had a few suspension issues. That was pre production and they addressed it. The new pro r and turbo r are stronger than a KRX. Not bashing any machines here but some people have hard ons for “their” brand. Any sxs is better than none so just get out and ride. Nobody likes to hear complaining.
