Osaka Travel Guide | Neon Streets, Craft Beer, and Takoyaki

🍜 Osaka’s energy is unmatched! Join us for 48 hours as we dive into neon streets, hidden izakayas, and unforgettable food and beer spots! 🦀🍺
We kicked things off in Dotonbori, Osaka’s vibrant hub of street food and neon lights. From taking selfies with the Glico Man to spotting the iconic waving crab, this area is pure magic. Pro tip: Always look up!
Next up, we visited the Pokémon Center, a nostalgic wonderland where we left with more Pikachus than planned. It’s like stepping into a Poké Ball full of memories-and merch!
For our beer lovers, we grabbed a Vertere beer from iiie, the perfect companion while strolling Osaka’s streets. This Tokyo-area brewery brings a touch of Okutama to the Kansai vibe.
We couldn’t miss WCB Dark Lab, a craft beer haven from Shizuoka’s West Coast Brewing. The beers here are so fresh and diverse, it feels like they brewed them just for you. And we even learned about a craft beer festival the next day here: Craft Beer Holiday
For a true taste of Osaka, we explored the backstreets of Namba for a night of izakayas and okonomiyaki. If you’re not slightly lost in these neon-lit alleys, you’re doing it wrong!
The beer journey continued at Arca-Archa Beer Bar, where the brews are so good, they might outshine the food-though we couldn’t resist pairing them with some snacks.
And of course, takoyaki! We stopped at Akaoni, a Michelin Guide-approved spot serving crispy-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside perfection. Move over, French cuisine-Osaka’s got this!
We wrapped up our trip with a visit to the Sayamaike Museum, an architectural gem celebrating Japan’s oldest dam, and savored a farewell pint of KIX Beer at Kansai Airport-a perfect goodbye to an unforgettable city.
