I have been seeking God and studying His word my whole life. I understand everything you are saying about righteousness and grace. I came from legalism, and childhood trauma from my alcoholic father. I am still fighting this performance thing. I recently heard a message about something I had to do to grow as a Christian. It was three things. I do the first two but the third I have struggled with all of my life and it tore me up with guilt. How to defeat this guilt and condemnation about it? It seems like a never ending cycle.
Hello Jackie, I am sorry to hear about your childhood. I can assure you that Jesus is our wonderful Counselor and our capable Physician. I also want to assure you that He is willing and able to deliver you entirely from a performance-based mentality. It is important to understand that, in terms of that third thing you mentioned, you are to do that third thing from the standpoint of being right with God through faith in Jesus, and not the other way around, i.e. you don't do that third thing in order to be made right with God. Also, as you do it from a heart of love for Him and hunger for righteousness, it will help. The motives as to why we do what we do really makes a difference. God's grace is a purifier of motives. Therefore, ask the Lord to root you in the finished work of the cross and in the new covenant of grace. I also encourage you to read and watch anointed material on law versus grace, the love of God, the finished work of Jesus at the cross and about your identity in Christ. Prayerfully study the Word of God in these areas as well until you become rooted in such truths. Be encouraged. Please let me know if you have any questions. God bless

Dear Randy, I am so glad my videos have been helpful to you, praise the Lord for His goodness. Continue to trust the Lord to purge your life from legalism, He will. I encourage you to do Bible studies on topics such as law versus grace, your identity in Christ, the love of God, the fatherhood of God, the new covenant of grace and godly humility. Please let me know if you would like me to recommend some books as well. God bless
And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death." Revelation 12:10-11 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. Revelation 22:17 Hallelujah, may we overcome the lies of the accuser by looking to the blood of Jesus and remember the times God delivered us so that we continue to walk by faith. Indeed, the water of life is without price! 😀😀🙏
Dear @Larissa's Home Interiors, I am so glad to hear my video was helpful, praise the Lord. I encourage you to explore what legalism is. I suspect the root cause of your struggle is legalism. As you learn to rest in the finished work of Christ at the cross, as you learn that grace is both the unmerited favor of God and the power of God to live holy, it will help you. But it will be important to uncover the root cause, which I believe is legalism. I encourage you to seek God about it and ask Him to reveal to you if legalism is at the root of your struggles. He will. Then trust Him to purge your life from it and He also will. :) I pray this helps. God bless
Your doing a wonderful work keep it up!
Wow! You really explain this well I think the Lord for sending you To us. Please keep making these videos ❤️
