The testament of a stellar talent is when you can sing a song more than 20 years later, and the only thing you hear different is a lowered key, which is normal to account for the natural aging of a voice. Such an underrated talent.
I was there this night and I wish I could find when she did "It's Alright" she had a release and the audience went nuts over it... She is truly a marvelous, yet underrated beautiful singer...
Chante is so underrated. I have the pleasure of seeing her at the Chase Park Plaza she and Jesse Powell and not only did Jesse blow me out of the water his vocals where superb, another artist that is underrated, and Ms. Chante, OMG, she tore it down...best show I had ever been too.
OctoberLibra1.. I said the same thing.. she doesn't get enough credit. She has a our voice that soothed the soul. Jesse is my boy... We grew up together ( somewhat til they moved away). His entire family can sing.
The band are playing a different song aren't they! .. The 1992 Montreux version is a different level, though it did have George Duke & Everette Harp performing on it.
How can you be looking for a new love when the old one is around? I understand the situation at hand, but if yall woman would just love and concentrate on yourself, then the new love would be you!
Obviously this was the choice Chante and her musicians made. Singers always have to find fresh ways to interpret their songs or they and the audience would get bored with the same thing everytime. Chante's been in the business for over 20 years...she wouldn't have a band that was "dumbfounded and confused" From the audience's standing ovation I would say the vast majority of us were well pleased. Gotta give your comment a big thumbs down queenamac!
Yeah, she was giving her ass up, but the Washingtonian crowd was holding back//must've been all that food they were eating or somethin. Remember the lady with the locs at the front table we needed a dozen or so of her!!!
Out of all the R and B Divas she is the only one whose career has a second chance...She has an incredible voice...
SHE IS A BEAST...LOVE YOU CHANTE...
Me too...some people expect her to sing it exactly like the record. She is an artist!
Spine tingling performance she NEVER disappoints!!
No not!!!❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
I love this rendition.
