Thanks guys! For all of you asking about what box that is...This is the Plano Edge 3700 box with a few of the terminal dividers from their Edge Terminal Box. I took some of the dividers out of the terminal box and made a few technique specific boxes. Here is a link to the terminal box - bit.ly/2SuzhOm
One huge take away when I read all the comments, people are actually watching the full video which is awesome. Personally tactical is the only fishing channel on UA-cam that I do not rifle through! I’ve watched every second of every video. And it looks like the rest of the audience is as well and that’s an awesome feeling
Caught my PB on a stick bait, Strike King 5” Grn Pum Blk Red, rigged neko...she measured just under 26” and was MASSIVE. Didn’t have a scale on me at the time but the average weight for length put her north of double digits for sure!! Only been fishing for a little over 2 years now and caught her 7 months into learning to bass fish. I give a lot of credit to this channel here because Matt and Tim gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to go out and buy the correct gear and tackle to land big fish! Thanks for all y’all do!!
When doing beginner videos combined with rigging techniques it would be cool if you guys would show the rigging of the bait on the body cam so that we can get up close looks on it. That one image of the morning dawn senko Texas rigged was awesome and it would be nice to have some close up footage of how to run the hook through the bait.
Another good tip when wacky rigging is to use TWO o-rings and cross them, then hook through the two rings so the hook is perpendicular to the worm. The hook up ration is WAY better. Great video!
Tim is: “The most interesting fisherman in the world” - when he teaches techniques, bass blow up in the video behind him in anticipation of eating his presentations.
I’d like to thank you guys for your tips and tricks, yesterday I caught three 5 plus pounders and one 4 1/2 pounder on a Texas rig bandito bug. If it weren’t for your guy’s knowledge I probably wouldn’t have caught those fish, so thanks for sharing!
Feel like i could share something with you guys. Use 2 o-rings overlapped in an "x" pattern. That way you can get the hook perpendicular to the bait. This will increase your hookup ratio dramatically when wacky rigging.
Thank you Tim for an exceptional training session on a bait that I’ve never mastered. Now I understand the technique and feel confident to apply your technique on my fisheries. I appreciated how you were able to provide training to beginners and professionals in one session. I’m excited about my upcoming fishing weekend. Thank you again.
I like to use 1/8" bands of heat shrink tubing for wacky rigging... I pre-rig a dozen or so Senkos that way... its a bit cheaper than the O-ring method and works just as good
Great info, thank you! I really want to get more comfortable with the plastic baits, so this video was perfect. You even covered different line and reels! Thanks again! Can’t wait for this weekend!
Appreciate this channel a lot. Today I was able to find the pattern of the bass and I stuck to it. Hit on many spots where in the past I was setting a pattern of where I thought they should be. This time the fish told me the pattern and I had a win outing this afternoon. Thanks guys
My PB, 4.3lb largemouth, came on a 5" purple Senko. Nothing super big compared to most people but, it was a massive confidence boost after only catching dinks for years.
I love the Senko and use it all the time. For those looking for a cheaper alternative, Bass Pros version actually works quite well and is easier on the budget.
Wyatt Rayburn the yum ones fall super slow though, the bass pro version normally fall closer to the same rate a senko does. Love both but use them for different things
I would love to see a video of you guys fishing with Tubes only. I have a good amount in my boxes, but never really use them. I would love to see you guys make a video dedicated to fishing with the hardly used Tube baits. 😊 Thanks for all the videos, very informative and incredibly helpful!
How do you prevent linr twist on spinning rod. We use a swivel about a foot ahead of the hook. This does affect ability to make accurate casts. Love your work.
Michael Murphy Most common reason for line twist is due to Not closing the bail (the wire around the spool) by hand. Never close it by reeling or you get line twist and a wear mark in the reels gearing. Other reasons for line twist (when Texas Rigged) include not rigging the hook straight and in-line with the worm and reeling the bait in too fast. Hope this helps. Be well.
I started using 5/0 hooks for all Senko Texas rigging to help prevent them from swallowing the hook. The 5/0 EWG is just wide enough to keep your average 1-4 pounder from swallowing it.
5-inch baby bass sinko nailed me a 26in 10.6 lb largemouth two weeks ago. Bass so big they eat 12 inch dink bass while you're reeling them in!!! Great video
I started Fishing again last year after about a 10 year break. My Bass fishing is way better than it ever has been thanks to you and Matt. By far the best fishing channel on the internet, and I have turned more than a few of my friends onto you guys. Thanks for everything you guys do
Love the senko! My 8 year old daughter rigs her own wacky rig on a spinning rod and wrecks them standing beside me all the time! Have not tried the 7” but got a pack a few weeks ago, gonna throw it next time out.
Hi love the videos please do a full one on the curado rods please I'm trying to figure out what to buy please I'm from south Africa we don't get any of these models you guys are always showing
I recently got into finesse fishing, wacky, neko and TRD.. I am trying to figure out how to fish finesse in small rivers and creek with current, would you have any advice on what to do or how to work it? I really enjoy what you guy's and I have learned a lot stuff from the tactical family that has made me alot more successful on the water
The email I received about this video has a really cool box that you use to store your worm and worm hooks in. Can you tell us where to get it? Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the video...tons of information that I would like to try......when using a 5" senko, what size hook would you recommend? thanks again for all your time and the great info!!!!!
There is actually a video way back from the first year Matt started TB talking about what it means and why he started it, but Tim wasn't in the picture back then. I'd love to see an updated backstory video with both of them for sure though.
Senko's also make great follow-up baits. Say you're throwing a Keitech or other swimbait and get a few follows with no full commit or a miss, or even with misses on a frog. That's why I like to always keep a senko close and ready on a spinning rig (usually Texas rigged). Quickly toss in right where you had the action and like 9 times out of 10 they'll take it right on the first fall, or right off the lilly pad. I've found the the original Yamamoto still outshines them all...only thing is they're so fragile especially Texas rigged, but if they keep catching them it's worth hit.
I just grabbed a daiwa cr80 to go on a Shimano Sellus and a SLX to go on a dobyns colt heavy rod and it's all because of yall recommendations. They're PHENOMENAL rods and reels in that price point and I couldn't be happier.. Also grabbed a diawa aird x a few months back and haven't been disappointed. Paired that with the new lews classic pro and it's a pretty badass $120 combo and it looks good 😂🤷♂️ Would love to hear your opinion on that reel eventually. Its such a great reel for the price
Jay Mac I got a Daiwa Aird X for $35 at my local tackle shop a couple weeks ago to use exclusively for frogs. Loved it so much, I just bought another one for my wife to use for all applications! Feels similar to my other rods at much higher price points.
Hi Sir, really enjoy your videos. Just started Bass fishing with my 14 yo daughter and so glad to find your videos. We live in Mississippi. Most of our water is very murky even in most ponds. Have you ever fished any in Mississippi? What is your recommendation (bait tackle, line, and rigging) for this type water for a beginner Mom and daughter just learning? True NEWBIES here but truly SUNK FOR BASS FISHING, haha. Could you recommend a “startup box” as funds are limited?
The water in Mississippi is no different from a lot of places in the country. It's "murky", so I'd recommmend starting with baits on the darker side. Go to a tackle store in your local area (NOT a Wal-Mart) and talk to people there. Tell them you can afford to spend $20 ($40, or whatever). Assuming you already have rods & reels, spend your money on some of the items the locals tell you are successful for them. In murky water, you should be able to get away using slightly heavier lines. So, start out with 10 or 12 pound mono and see how it does for you (some of the water near me is very clear, so I use a lot of 6 and 4 pound line). Good luck and have fun.
When you say "slack line" are you talking about leaving the bail open as it falls? I have looked outside the box the last few season as far as different baits. Done mostly poorly thus far and haven't dialed it in yet, so my two go-2 baits are the sanko and the brushhog.
The thing I don't like about the screw-lock method is that the bait doesn't slide out of the way. When the fish thrashes it can rip the bait or if the hook gets in the gullet, it's much harder to get out. Just my personal experience.
Ok so maybe I could get some help? Watched your guys video from two years ago about finesse rod setups. I want to get into the finesse side of things but I’d like to have two high-end combos that could cover as much of the spectrum as possible. I’m thinking one for lighter finesse techniques and one for heavier techniques, thought? Looking at NRX’s
Are you still using the G7 system ? I ask because I just spent $80 on a couple of the pliars and tubes. If an O ring is better then it would be great to know before I take out of the packaging. Cheers
I like to pinch the senko between my fingers and shake it, I look for the spot where both sides give off equal action that seems to give it the most action (wacky rigged) from my experience and reduces the odds of it just torpedoing down to the bottom side ways, just look for the middle by weight not length.
Any size recommendations on the size for a wacky hook?
Kevin R usually a 1/0 wacky hook for 5 inch senkos
Where can I get or what can I use for that O ring hook up?
One huge take away when I read all the comments, people are actually watching the full video which is awesome. Personally tactical is the only fishing channel on UA-cam that I do not rifle through! You can never go wrong with the senko!!

I love the Senko and use it all the time. For those looking for a cheaper alternative, Bass Pros version actually works quite well and is easier on the budget.
I believe the Yum senkos are even better as they are cheaper, come in all the main colors and some weird ones, and are readily available everywhere.
Wyatt Rayburn the yum ones fall super slow though, the bass pro version normally fall closer to the same rate a senko does. Love both but use them for different things
I love senkos I've caught some of my biggest bass on them. My favorite way to rig it is a weightless Texas rig.
Ok. Going to try this today. Trying to break an extended skunk. Thanks for the great info as usual!
Good information as always. Dude, the beard looks great on you!
Just got my new PB yesterday on the Diawa Yamamoto fat worm. 7.02. Worms can be a number, and size bait. Definitely a must have.

Pretty sure they have a video of that... but you'll have to search thru their massive library.. I know I've seen tube video
You guys are awesome I learn a lot from both you guys👍
How do you prevent linr twist on spinning rod. We use a swivel about a foot ahead of the hook. This does affect ability to make accurate casts. Love your work.
Michael Murphy Most common reason for line twist is due to Not closing the bail (the wire around the spool) by hand.
Never close it by reeling or you get line twist and a wear mark in the reels gearing.
Other reasons for line twist (when Texas Rigged) include not rigging the hook straight and in-line with the worm and reeling the bait in too fast.
Hope this helps.
Be well.
What are your thoughts on using 2 o-rings in a X pattern and having the hook perpendicular to the worm?
That's exactly how I like th fish them.
What’s the upside to this?
I started using 5/0 hooks for all Senko Texas rigging to help prevent them from swallowing the hook. The 5/0 EWG is just wide enough to keep your average 1-4 pounder from swallowing it.
Thank you for all the info, Love you guys, keep fishing.
Perfect timing! I just grabbed my first senkos first trial is tomorrow
glad to get all your tips

I mainly use a trick worm for my wacky rig because it has more action than the thin senko
At 3:41 you can see a bass blow up behind Tim. A shame you can't fish as the lake is closed. He could have demonstrated the Senko in action.
