I bought this bike about a month ago and it’s my first bike . Suspension is rough but over all I love the bike .

Hey man same here sometimes the bumps fucking hurt but I’m willing to compromise with the shitty suspension since I love this bike. Got it a month ago with a custom exaust

Suspension is stiff, it's a monoshock with only 2 inch of travel. You have 3 adjustments that you can do on the rear. Preload, compression and rebound. The motorcycles manual will tell you how to adjust it . Preload is the knob that you adjust according to your weight. The rebound and compression, which is located in two different spots on the left side of your motorcycle , you need a screwdriver and the manual will tell you that you have to first put it all the way to hard, and from there it tells you how many turns with the screwdriver you need to do to chose between soft, standard and sport. You can also adjust the front suspension. As far as the front brake, I understand that you might want dual brake disk, but it does the job with just 1 brake disk. Also you could add that the engine is a stressed member in the chassis, helping to reduce weight considerably. Overall it's an excellent bike that Harley has built.

I own one, Fair call on the suspension. The handling improves when you learn the dynamics on the peaked front tire. It leans in slowly and drops in fast on a corner.

I bought one. It’s a fun run bike. It’s not set up to compete or to be excellent at anything. It is for making you smile. The engine is perfect.

the lack of 'flickability' is in large part do to the large front tire. The very large trail and rake of the bike also make it want to stand up more and 'resist' flicking over.

Thanks to the new weird look of the new bikes, my 2016 sporter already look like a vintage...they got smarter with the mirrors thought, had to switch mine down, could only see my shoulders in the original position

It will be interesting to see if Harley dealers (and the buying public) give this bike respect. The Buell and V-Rod didn't get much.

You have to adjust the suspension. Takes 15 minutes and a screwdriver.

Should have kept the old sportster too, big mistake if they get rid of that, china is making a sportster motor that’s stronger more reliable, I don’t know what they are going to put it in but it will probably look good because they also bought out an Italian motorcycle company

You did this in road mode... get in on the throttle in sport mode...

Quit riding harleys in the late 90’s. Would never go back. Buell was the best bike they ever made. Still have one. Rode the pan am last year and couldn’t wait to get back on my 2002 Aprilia ETV1000. They’ll have to do something pretty special to get my business again. This isn’t it.

I just don’t get Harley man. They make a right sporty engine and stick it in a ……what? A sportster? A cruiser? What the hell is that thing? A cool looking bike for sure, but big fat tires, no suspension, and forward controls? Not to mention a single front disc with 120hp. I dont get it. Put that saucy engine in something that actually makes some sense and maybe I’d buy one.
