The conference decided to have sword swallower Alex Magala perform.
Mark Driscoll called this out as being the Jezebel spirit.

No, Driscoll didn't need to seek the approval of any man to speak out against something like this that was done publicly just before he went on.
This is why pastors need to be fully aware of what's going on their churches. I find it odd that Lindell did not know that a stripper was going to perform at a men's conference. And if he saw that, he should've stopped asap.
Mark Driscoll is to be admired for speaking out against this perverted performance, albeit maybe not in the best way. Their reconciliation is for me a bit strange…it‘s like it was all ok in the end to allow that performance. And yes, it would be a huge stumbling block for men with SSA. So sorry 😢

I would stay as far away from this circus as I could. titillation and theatre is all that that some people will respond to. The state of the church is certainly sad because our leaders have given in to the spirit of the age. We entertain each other and call it spiritual growth. How ridiculous! Had I been Driscoll, I would have walked out when I saw that in the first place. But the he is an attention-drawing nut, imo, too. This is all theatrics. "Christian" performance that is not Christian. If these men are saved, they are about the least-discerning men I can imagine. What a joke.

Some men’s and women’s “retreats” in churches pull families away from each other for a weekend. Call me old fashioned or whatever you want, but I got married so my wife sleeps in our bed, in our house, every single night. No ifs ands or buts.
