      Yeah star trek is about people the human condition. First film directed by wise is iconic classic sf, holds up So well to repeatviewing over my 40 years. Into darkness is bottom of barrel idiocy, but that being said beyond was fun...in the spirit of tos. . The new stuff picard and discovery is violent and really disappointing, explosions and really doesn't fit in with any of the first clasdic series tos, the, ds9, or enterprise. Voyager was weak....i gave up after season 3 originally, then saw it later on spike TV.. Sorta a watered down the....better than this evil dark hateful discovery junk or this stranger pretending to be picard. He isn't even movie picard.... But hey that's why Star Trek Continues was made,, a true love letter toward Tos.... Continues is the greatest since ds9....its clasdic trek right up to The Motion Picture time wise, then the post 2000 pocketnoveks are good mostly too. Ds9 relaunch are superb.

      @@cjones3710 i didn't like Voyager when I 1st watched it but now I love it. I'm very OCD and part of my ritual is to watch/listen to it when/as I go to sleep. I know what I'm about to tell u is so hard to belive but I have watched TNG and Voyager so much I can close my eyes and know exactly what going on so now when I fall asleep I dream of star trek and because I know each scene I participate in the episode and it's also my dream. This happened 25% of the time I dream and its so cool. I wish other people could experience what I do

      @@qw7154 Voyager really could have been good, but the lack of consequences hurt it with photos getting unlimited supply
      Some good eps but just not my favorite trek.Thats Tos, ds9. Tng.
      and Enterprise was getting great when it ended. Wasted too much time in s1 And s2.
      And shuttles and then that warp 10.....bur it's not bad, just musically it was wallpaper like last 2 seasons of tng....
      But way better than that depressing picard show or discovery.

      I was getting ready to post the same thing. Checov's story had alto more, including the part about the recovering participants watching his actions on the cameras. We missed the diplomacy game in Sulu's story when he used paper airplanes as radio signals, and he got back the origami cricket/nuclear bomb.

    That Kirk cheat was even more disappointing than that childishness in the JJ verse simulator. This is just another example of why it isn't necessary to peak behind the curtain of some stories. The fact that he was the only one in star fleet history to beat the no win scenario is diminished by the other stories for one. And nothing about the story being told in the Genesis cave would have lived up to the hype. best to just leave it be and let people be awed by the fact that Kirk did something no one else ever did.

    • @ronaldfinkelstein6335
      @ronaldfinkelstein6335 3 роки тому

      That has changed. Riker beat the scenario by challenging the Klingon commander to personal combat, while having his crew rescue the Kobyashi Maru crew and passengers and leave him behind. Mackenzie
      Calhoun blew up the Kobyashi Maru which destroyed two of the Klingons, and damaged the third; Nog took it twice. First time he copied Riker. Second time, he started haggling with the Kingons, and the computer shut down. And the protagonist in Star Fleet Academy video game copied Kirk, but the Klingons got eager to kill...and got in each others way. He eeked out a draw.
