The Big Kahuna Portable Shower is a must have for any outdoor activity. It is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. Make sure you get yours from www.12voltdirec... now.
For the DIYer, the water container can be bought in most pet stores. I have a 20 gallon one for dog food. My dog passed away, and was going to get rid of the container, but might make a shower.
I take a 5 gal bucket , paint it with flat black paint. And grab a wash rag ,soap and then rinse off. No power needed. If you place it in the sun for a few hours at least the water is warm. If all day it will be hot.
Yea .Just so people understand .The Container is High Quality ..The Pump is made in Germany with 13 feet of wire,,The parts and Plug are all stainless marine grade.Anyone try and make this for less then we charge..Then See if you can find the fittings we have made as well as the showerhead we use Then see if you get 6 feet of pressure. Then pay the State and Feds and all the taxes we pay to be a company for 14 years now .. haters are no good good USA..Let us know how yours turns out ???
Don't cry Becky, your boss made a generic sprayer that ANYBODY with a diy inclination can duplicate if they want to, MAYBE y'all used better than garbage parts but it is still easily copied
A converted pet food container for a camp shower? Yes the vessel is a vittles vault. I have that particular size container for my cat food. My dog gets the bigger one.
$139.00 plus s&h for the 4.7 gal??????? Wow!😡😡😡 I can get the hoses and pump at Home Depot for 35.00 and a much larger container exactly like this at Costco for 29$ (the smaller sizes like this one in the video are less)
I think this guy should have kept his company and making his product. Kudos to him for being inventive with everyday house items. I went to purchase one. No longer available.
I like my big kahuna , I have a older one, but I don't like you have to hold the button in to keep the water going,i would prefer if it would stay on so the nozzle can be hung up for a shower.Great for washing things off, and my feet and dog.
Yes it is vented. Had more than enough water with my big kahuna for quick clean up after surfing and heading to work. Keeps warm in my truck all week in CA. They sell a heater kit now but I haven't indulged yet:)
Appears to be shot by someone who is connected to the company who makes it or sells it. This is obviously not as good as this guy says it is. Not a good salesman at all! Just checked and this guy is from 12volt direct. He must think people are dumb enough to believe that he is an actual customer and he actually ordered this and it "arrived very quickly".
Wow, it is 12 Volt Direct that is putting this video online here and yet they try to make it seem like this person just got this setup delivered from the company. Their own name above gives it away. How biased can this review be?
Siddhartha Ray : Good idea, now! They sell 3-gallon hand-pump pressure sprayers at Tractor Supply. Just paint that container flat black and let the sun heat the water.
shouldn't that read assembled in USA...with foreign made pump....how can they say MADE IN USA ? Didn't New Balance Shoe Co. have to stop saying made in the USA because the parts were of a foreign suppliers...Just seems misleading if the pump is made in germany
It probably suppose to mean: "Made in the USA," (but with parts from China, Mexico, and Germany not stated in the description) from these countries...Just like the tooling stuff at Sears states "assembled in USA" (check it out for yourself).
I don't think 12Volt is trying to hide who made the video, as it clearly states that the video producer is 12Volt. Isn't that the way all commercials work?! Yeah, things seem too easy to some once someone else puts them together; bread is just flour and water. But how many take the time and effort or have the skill and knowledge to make it? After researching camp showers, I think this product looks extremely worthwhile and I plan on buying one myself.
Made by Gamma Plastics. They also make the Gamma seal lids that can be used on most 5 & 7 gallon plastic buckets. The containers are a bit expensive but well worth the money for dry storage as well as wet storage.
What a superb shower. For added water volume in the small container I’ll just get my 5 gallon water bottle off my drinking dispenser And add it to the top of the unit.
@@evanmustard5740 And the bottom of these containers are rather fragile and the extruded feet prone to cracking if dropped with any kind of load in the container.
WHAT A JOKE!!!! 139.00$ ??? Seriously.... Costco sells those dog food containers for $20.00 add about 25$ of cords/sprayer (just need to buy a pump for about 15$! .... and you have a BETTER shower! (Those Gamma lids are water and air proof)
The pump stays running. Useless. Why can’t somebody make one with the on off switch on the shower head. So you can leave it plugged in and use it when you need it instead of running back and forth to the plug.
Thanks but no thanks i purchased for amazon and didn’t work or with all the working parts It ended up in the trash Save your money and go too REI for the camp shower I was so disappointed in amazon

the sprayer is guarbage - leaked water all over first time and don't dare leave water in the tub or the hose ,,,water will leaked everywhere...junk junk junk,, I was horrabilbly disappointed and ripped off, lol

@@TheVelocity2002 don't be sour Becky. I made one for 72 dollars and it's because I bought a rechargeable battery battery pack I can recharge off solar. Good flow, lasts about 45 minutes. Then recharge from solar or battery. No electricity from an outlet The marine hose is cheap in the irrigation aisle at Lowe's. Just buy quarter inch connectors.

Ingenious use of a $30 Vittles vault, a $15 submersible 12volt water pump, and maybe $20 in hoses and fittings. LOL!
Not The Same Thing .Try Running your own company with all the fees
Exactly..I fell for the big kahuna made in USA ...pump is made in Germany..Kittles container is very thin..it's designed for Dog Food Storage
I come here in 2020 and 12 Volt Direct is out of business.
Not bad for a company that is using the body of a dog food container, add a pump, and a few bells and whistles...

So start your own factory and make millions
Make millions? You ignorant ass, the only way to make millions selling cheap trash is to sell it to morons like you
A converted pet food container for a camp shower? Yes the vessel is a vittles vault. I have that particular size container for my cat food. My dog gets the bigger one.
If I get this can I spray dog food on people?
Those containers are sold for $20.00 at Petsmart AND Costco. Tubing is less than $15.00. SERIOUSLY? A tiny drilled hole and THAT’s all it takes!

Gee, I wonder if this guy works for the big kahuna shower co. ?
I don't think so, but I think he sells them.

They are available from Big Kahana's website, if you're still interested.

Does it come out as hot water or cold
@@badasstrucker9157 you would have to buy the heating element for it ...it’s separate
why doesn't the semi trucks offer this

I went to te website and cannot find it. I found my to gallon Rinsekit I have at home but that one is useless to me out on the road.
How can you make this solar in case there is no electricity?
why is the pump running when you are not using it?
is it vented? Could you use it with the lid on it?
