- This week a mum has called in describing her guilt around feeling disappointed about finding out the sex of her child. So I brought on Gemma Smith who is supporting mums across Australia and mother of 2 who also experienced gender disappointment and is an advocate for speaking up about it, to hash out:

Currently going thru this. Just found out I’m having another boy (2nd) I was very open about how badly I wanted a girl. I have that very guilty feeling & crying from disappointment. Bc this wasn’t a planned pregnancy & this is why I didn’t want to have another child bc I was scared of having another boy & it happened. So rn I’m going thru the motions of it all.

I was disappointed when i found my second and last baby was a boy as well. But it ended up being the best thing for my kids. They had similar interests, they always hang out together and the bromance just makes me tear up. A brother and girl rarely stay this tight in life- especially after certain age. But two brothers or two sisters, those are best friends for life. Now I'm glad they're both boys.
