Love these. They packaged up so nice. Could be a nice gift for anyone. Love them.
Thanks Dawn.
Thank you for the easy to do video, I mess the pen bit up every time, so I think I could do it now, I love it and the decor.Thank you xx💚
thanks Lynn
I think I’d stick a piece of dsp to cover the note book front cover...
I'm going to try that. Thanks Heather.
So cute tablets
thank you
Love these little guys Karen. I'd cover the top of the pad with coordinating paper, either all the way to the top or just below the black tape. Maybe add an inside panel to the cover as well. Glad you're back!!!
Thanks Claire. I simply added a piece of Come Sail Away DSP up to the black top. Pictures on my Facebook page.
Thanks for the new video Karen! Love everything you make and you are wonderful for sharing what you do and how you do it. Happy New Year to you and your family!!
Thank you!
Karen, Happy New Year! Thank you for the detailed explanation on the pen holder part. It’s always been a little confusing to me. Have a blessed day. Great video!
your welcome Maggie. Thanks for watching.
The posh paper lady channel uses these notebooks, her christmas video she used DT cards as the book cover and she covers the front of the notebook with coordinating paper. I made a bunch and it works really well. I think that is all you need to do for your project.
Either use a coordinating paper or the same paper as the front of the holder. Love the idea and can't wait to try it!
Although it will add to the cost of supplies, I will give it a try. Thank you!
thank you Kelly! I will look for the video.
I think added some coordinating DSP to the front would add stability and add a nice look to the finished product!
Hi Karen. That's what I did. Check out a few pictures on my Facebook page. Much better presentation.
Thanks for all your comments! I reworked the inside cover and added a matching panel. Head over to my Facebook page for pictures!
I use Decorative Paper to glue to the front cover of those notebooks.
Thought I had uploaded that video, but can't find it. I will upload next week. I make mine without the Slider. That is a Good Idea.
MKR Creations
Hi Marilyn. All of my note pads/books will now have a slider. Customers liked that they could refill.
@@karenmcnall awesome idea
You need to do something to the cover of the pad. It looks bad..maybe DSP or something
I reworked the inside cover and added a matching panel. Head over to my Facebook page for pictures!
happy new year...thanks for sharing
Happy New Year to you as well. Thanks for watching!
Karen McNall i opened ur fb wishing to see your plastic cover size but i couldn’t find it...if you don’t mind telling me so i can order from amazon...thanks a bunch 😊
Would the Mimi note pads work from the dollar tree. They are lined and not the ugly cover. They come in colors. Love your ideas
I believe you are referring to the Writing Tablets. Those are too small, however, I'll have a video in the future featuring them.
Good. Can’t wait to see it
none of the links take you to the paper used
I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The papers are no longer available, however, you should check out the Designer Series Paper found on my online store www.stampinup.com/?demoid=2229764
Depending on your theme, there are many to choose from. Use my Host Code 6SSHVDCV to earn up to a free pack of cardstock as a thank you gift. Details at myemail.constantcontact.com/Free-Cardstock-.html?soid=1133828267394&aid=oXMfvP_2gcs
Let me know if you have further questions. Thank you!
Great idea, paper was too dark to see folds, camera too far away to see details. can you remake in a paper that shows the details.
Hi Chris. This was my first video using my new desk. I wasn't aware that the camera was too far away. In the future, I will adjust my camera. Sorry about the dark cardstock. The Night of Navy is the coordinating paper for the DSP that I used. I am unable to re-do the video; sorry about that. I just do not have enough time.
A little late in watching, but why not use a good metal or wooden ruler lay it across the top holding down the binding and tear off the front.
Hi Becki, The problem was with the notepads. The glue came down from the top too much to provide a straight cut (on the left side).
Oh my Karen. I love this. I can sell many of these next summer. A lady has asked me for anything I can do with lighthouses and fiddles. She will take them on consignment. If you don’t mind telling me what you would be charging for yours, would be a big help to me? I live in eastern Canada. Tourists who visit here eat that stuff up. Lol.
Hi Liz. I'm going to try $4 each or 2 for $7 US$. It's a new product for me so I'm not sure how they will sell. Best of luck to you! Im sure you will sell. Also, you can purchase the note pads by the case.
Karen McNall thank you so much for your response. Excited to give these a try.
Where did you get the Stampin' Up logo stamp?
Make A Difference Photopolymer Stamp Set, Item #146676, order at inspiredbygram.com
What's an exacto knife, cut between the first and second pages neatly and that will clean up the edge.
*with an exacto knife
That could be a possible fix as well. Thank you.
Are you using a 4” x 6” pad of paper for this?
yes I am
I cover the covers in a coordinating paper 🙂
HI Esther. That's what I ended up doing. You can find pictures on my Facebook page if you want to check it out. Thanks for your comment
Do you have the link for where you bought your personalized stamp?
Thanks for the reminder. I need to add to my description box. The website is www.rubberstamps.com/
Could cut the top off
I didn't want to try that because i thought the sheets of paper would start falling out.
