- Kelly Garner's "The Day I Get Home" concept video is a story told to encourage anyone who has ever lost someone and felt the trials and sufferings of this world. As Christians, we will one day be able to "lay down those trials and trade a cross for a crown." As the lyric says, "freedom from suffering is something I've never known, but I'll know what it's like on the day I get home." The lead character in this video is played by Catherine Baucom, who still feels the great loss of her dear husband, Donald Baucom, last year. Kelly's mom, Martha Yancey Garner, made her transition to that heavenly home on October 28, 2022. Although Kelly still deals with that heartache and loss, she knows that her sweet mama is finally "home." May we all run to the cross and surrender, so that we too may see the face of Jesus, our Savior, on that glorious day when we get "home."
