Are you trying to say it's easy for people his height to jump that high? Because it's definitely not... I don't think Nate deserved to win but people are impressed when you can jump 45+ inches
Don't worry Igoudala. Nate won the dunk contest but you will win a championship in nine years. But you will also blow a 3-1 against the cavs after breaking michael Jordan and bulls most wins record in a season.
J dankmemer well there were I think 1 or two nba teams due to an exspanion draft so the NBA was a little watered down not taking anything away from the bulls but the Warriors got the record fair and square.
J dankmemer so what? Should we say that wilt's 100 points don't count because it was 'easier' than today to get to 100? Nop, they got the record and deserved it by playing amazing all season long.
Andre got robbed, that was easily his win, but they voted for Nate because he is shorter, Bullshit, Andre had some crazy acrobatic dunks, I mean backwards between the legs? That's insane, the one that he did from behind the backboard could have made him win as well, but nope, just because Nate is shorter -_-
Swear growing up, felt all my teams/ guys always lose lol. It's like they against the opponent and establishment, and shadowy forces, and have to play like they life on the line. Lol
Well Andre might have not won this, but he'll just have to settle for being an nba champion and finals mvp, all star rookie mvp, all nba defensive first team (2014) and second team (2011), nba rookie 1st team, and an all star appearance. And Nate Robinson . . . ummmm, well, he's a good dunker. Andre more than made up for what happened here.

+Malachi Noronha It kind of gets overlooked due to Griffin's Kia situation, but despite a wonderfully creative first round, JaVale McGee was arguably more pedestrian in the finals than his counterpart. For better or worse, an off-the-backboard honey dip off one foot had never been attempted or completed in an NBA dunk contest. And sure, for the sake of the discussion, Griffin's next dunk was essentially a standard two-hand lob over the part of a hood of a car. However, McGee's two final round dunks were 1) a Larry Nance cuff dunk along the baseline (nice, but after extending a bit and missing his first attempt, the second was a little more pedestrian... while also being a replica of something that was first done 27 years ago) and 2) a one-hand bounce dunk. That's it. He literally finished with a layup line one-hand bounce dunk (video here: ua-cam.com/video/4F9HseGTolg/v-deo.html). If you still prefer McGee's final round to Griffin's, I respect that. I just don't think he did a ton in the finals to deserve it more than Blake at that point. If McGee had somehow made it to the finals then busted out his triple dunk for the first time at that point, I'd be more inclined to agree.
***** Well personally i dont think Griffin should have been in the Finals of the dunk contest. The honey dip was alright but that was his only actual good dunk coming into the finals. And im glad im not talking to an imbecile who is quick to judge someone because of their opinion. Lol thanks for understanding.
+Malachi Noronha Right on. I was going to mention the first round angle in my first post but held off for the sake of brevity. I think Griffin could have very easily been eclipsed by DeMar DeRozan in that first round (Griffin skirted past him 95 to 94). It's just, once Griffin made the finals, I don't think JaVale McGee did anything to take him down in those final two dunks. As for that controversial first round, I always kind of thought Griffin benefited from his first miss (that wild one-footed 360 scoop-down-to-waist attempt that brought the arena to its feet). If he'd made it, it would have been one of the greatest NBA contest dunks I'd ever seen. Unfortunately, he had to settle for a more pedestrian one-footed 360 (still a really superb dunk, in fact, just without the waist pump). I always kind of thought the judges were fooled into thinking he completed the same dunk he'd originally attempted. Then again, maybe they were just swooning off the hype.
Cdb123 thats for DAMN sure Aaron deserved to win i think zach won because everyone was in favor of him to win back to back. But that will be known as one of the greatest dunk contests of all time. Its kinda like a similarity of wilkins and jordon

I used to play against this guy in High School. We just had fun with it as a team. With him and McBride (who would have gone NBA too barring injury) they were unstoppable. Literally. Was always more fun to watch him, even when trying to guard him, than it was trying have a level of competition. Even at 17-18 he was ready to go pro. Just needed that finite tuning, and to gain some size. Ill never forget those days! For this very reason.
I think this is, easily, the hardest dunk ever finished of any dunk ever done in the NBA dunk contest. That shit is so difficult. Props to All-State QB AI for the assist.
Iggy got robbed...Robinson won because of height.
Not height. It's because of how high he could jump
stretch90 how high......because of his height
Are you trying to say it's easy for people his height to jump that high? Because it's definitely not...
I don't think Nate deserved to win but people are impressed when you can jump 45+ inches
stretch90 it's not a how high u can jump contest it's a dunk contest
Yes, but jumping high also makes the dunk better. You don't see guys with 25" verticals winning the dunk contest.
Watching LaVine's dunk and this dunk... makes you appreciate how hard that second dunk was.
