Well since you left this comment they fixed one pipe in 3D world, and I guess you could say in the paper Mario series you reveal/fix pipes to use them

I treat this as a walkthrough because for every mission I have to come to this series at least twice to see what I need to do.
The two carnivorous plants in the plant nursery were nasty. Maybe the cardboard cutout versions of them in the courtyard were practice for the confrontation against them.
