The end of this game is just too friggin' precious! I remember getting this game for Christmas when I was young, and it made me so happy! When I started up the game, I was introduced to the beginning cutscene, and the first level. I remember beating the game for the first time, and I could not describe how happy it made me. This game has good graphics, good plot, pretty much good everything!
And now, in 2019, I have beaten the game over six times... It never gets old. :)

Yeah, I got emotional when I first played the game a few years ago, and even now I still get emotional because the ending is just so beautiful, especially with the Polterpup

I love the ghost personalities in the original luigi's mansion, but the graphics in luigi's mansion dark moon are way better. By the way how come in the luigi's mansion series bowser doesn't capture princess peach? Bowser should totally get tips from king boo because at least king boo can actually defeat mario. So much for being the bigger brother if luigi is always saving mario. Princess peach owes all her thanks to luigi for saving mario, the guy who saves her. Way to take all the credit mario and WAY TO GO LUIGI. YOU ROCK
In the whole series, King Boo tries every time to kill Luigi and for laurn him, he use the closest person of Luigi, Mario. However, yea, King Boo also captured Peach in the third game.
But none of what Luigi does would be fathomable without E. Gadd’s genius
I just keep replaying that part when Luigi sleeps with the polterpup. Its just so heartwarming :3

Ridiculously late comment, but I think Mario shows less emotion on a character level because Nintendo wants him to be a kind of “Everyman”s Character”. Of course, Mario has mannerisms and shows a certain amount of emotion and character, but I think, for the most part, that Mario is supposed to be accessible by being a little more of a character you can express yourself through. In other words, Mario is the player in his games, whoever it may be.
I love how the ghosts and luigi get along at the end! The polterpup is so cute!

Me too i thought that the ending cutscenes were the cutest and best in nintendo but thats my opinion though. I actually played it with ZackScott not co-op but i would get my 3ds and i would put his video on while i played and copied him i am very thankful for that because i wouldnt be able to find all gems in treachourous mansion without him. I totally recommend this game i love the character and personality of luigi. I also hope this is canon and luigi actually keeps the polterpup and in a future mario game you could go in evershade valley and go into luigis house and see the picture and the dog house that you see in the gloomy manor in the front yard so yeah i think this i a very good game like comment and subscribe!!'

When I get sad I rewatch that ending, it's just so wholesome.
That was a great lets play of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, the story was so interesting and enjoyable, the ghosts were awesome and it had its own horrific feel
I agree, the ending to this one is a lot more satisfying than the original's. Plus, they talk! That's always great. And it's nice to see Mario being brotherly towards Luigi every now and then. Just makes you feel good to see Luigi come out on top, ya know? I especially love how they gave him the dog at the end. Nice touch if you ask me.
Mario once said to Luigi “Luigi, you can’t be scared all the time” and all he said back was “you’d be surprised” and it turns out he got his own advantage by ghost hunting and got the credit he deserves for what he did.
This might sound weird but I'm sad we didn't get to see these as nice ghost

Polterpup is my favorite ghost. So adorable. The only thing I don't like about him is probably his scarescraper gamemode because its boring if your playing a large amount of floors.

Honestly don't know which one is better. First one was more cohesive, but this game felt much more structured and had much more personality and charm. The first game was basically a (really good) haunted house dark ride simulator. Each game has their strengths and weaknesses, mostly due to one being on console and one on portable, but both are great games and _excellent_ tech demos.

Happy 7 year anniversary of this video. I literary saw that it said “seven years ago” in the thumbnail (not the actual thumbnail) and had to see it for myself. It surely doesn’t seem that long ago to me because I was watching them as you posted the videos at the time. Really good series btw.

King Boo is aweome. I love how Next Level Games made him look much more sinister in Dark Moon and with a newly designed crown. I hope they continue to use this design much more in future Mario & Luigi games.

I enjoyed this commentary, and I'm glad that I can see this game when I otherwise couldn't. The new puzzles, game mechanics, and features are great and I loved the ending! Thank you for making this 'Let's Play' so we all watch this new game.
Love this game. I like it even more than the first game. Does it have its flaws? Sure. Its repetitive, predictable, and the various locations don't leave the same kind of impact the original mansion did. But, it's a very smart game. The puzzles were great, and it really promoted exploration and experimentation (except for a certain...wild ride...), much more so than the first game. I also love the cut scenes sprinkled throughout. I don't know how the animators did it, but they managed to give Luigi facial expressions that were somehow simultaneously cartoony and subtle, and these really added to his personality.
And King Boo was just great. Even with only one real moment of dialogue, he still comes across as a powerful presence, ESPECIALLY in the opening of E-2 and E-3. And even though we know it's him, thanks to the game's opening cut-scene, we get to watch Luigi and E-Gadd come to the horrible realization that the King of Boos is back with a vengeance thanks to the well-placed hints sprinkled throughout the game. I just wish they did more with him. Like, how DID he escape, how DID he trap Mario in a painting. How DID he managed to give his underlings the power of the Spirit Balls? What will E-Gadd do with King Boo and his followers? The game doesn't address these, and that makes me a little sad.
But, overall this was a fantastic game and I loved playing it.

This was a very fun watch, the only thing I don't like about it is how it feels less open. The missions really take the open world out of it and the money still being in the same place each mission just feels a bit worthless.
If they do make another Luigi's Mansion game, I can only hope it takes out the 'missions' and puts in the open worldliness properties of the first game.

I got this game when I was around 7? I am now 12. I got it when I got my 30th year Luigi 3DS XL and I was hyped. For a long while I want able to get passed multiple levels. Today I beat the game with the same amount of cluelessness you had and happy tears pouring he down my face.

Just watching this made it pretty easy to figure out how to beat him...lure him under a shadow and those spike things have to hit his crown... he even stated it before "MY CROWN GIVES ME POWER" so yeah thats his weak spot...
