i love how 9:20 the plan issues to cut the bridge to prevent the enemy from attacking the main camp but the one allied officer whose involved is now stuck with the enemy to die. great strategy.. completely fuck over the officer. nice idea Deng ai.
XL is an expansion to 7. It can be played on its own, but you won't have access to the Story Mode or Conquest Mode. XL adds three new characters and gives certain characters like Xiahou Dun new movesets. If you combine 7 and 7XL, you can play Story Mode and Conquest Mode with the new movesets and characters.
Oh, and XL also introduces Legend Mode which is like a big timeline of battles that give the characters that don't get much screen time in the Story Modes some time to shine in a few battles.
And with the Sima’s constantly outsmarting him, and him wasting Shu’s resources for a lost cause and I’m surprised no one in Shu tried to start a rebellion against him.
I believe eventually, when Wei (technically, but with the Sima clan in control) conquered Shu, Jian Wei attempted to launch a rebellion but was betrayed and killed by his own soldiers. No one cared about 'the Land of Benevolence' anymore. Even to this day, China still doesn't care for it...
@@ExireHG This is another reason why I can appreciate Liu Shan. Someone depicted so incompetent by history and the games; he really did want the suffering of the people to end. ... even though Liang and Jiang had no problem let them keep on dying for -the cause-.
@@PaulosTheGamer I disagree. All 3 kingdoms are bound to go to war to reunify the land. Coexistence between the states is impossible. Wu never really had good opportunity to do so, so mainly it goes to Wei and Shu. If Shu don’t attack Wei, it is very likely that Wei will invade Shu. Which is what eventually happened. What is problem for Shu is that it has limited resources compared to Wei, troublesome terrain to invade Wei with, and a social class that is complacent in staying behind their mountains. The region of Shu is quite wealthy on its own, but it was far from the rest of China and quite isolated with the amount of trouble needed to reach the place. As such, many had developed the attitude of “the emperor is far away” and sees themselves as somewhat isolated and autonomous. Even when Liu Yan (Liu Zhang’s father, who would later lost Shu to Liu Bei) came as governor, he requested it so that he would be free from other’s attention to pursue his own imperial ambitions. The rest of China was seen as troublesome people who would disrupt their “paradise”, especially with refugees from the east coming in as wars engulfed the rest of China at the time. These class of people were admitted into the Shu-Han government as they are the local gentry clans and they were among the fiercest critics of the northern expeditions. However, if used correctly, it can be a powerful tool to reunify China. Qin united China under one emperor using the resources of Shu region. Bashu region and Hanzhong was the domain of Liu Bang, which he used to fight Chu and establish the Han Dynasty. And he doesn’t even have a second route at Jingzhou at the time, unlike Zhuge Liang’s plan.

Guo huai is pissed
At least Ba is the reasonable one. Between him and Jiang Wei anyways.
Fun fact: Jiang Wei launched over *11* invasions against Wei.
Certainly made the invasion of Shu a lot easier.
Not very benevolent of him
he should have tried another strategy
He was an imbecile.
9:26 - 9:27 Sima Shi is not listening to Xiahou Ba that Sima Shi broke a bridge
Jiang Wei may have the brute Xiahou Ba in the army but in reality, He’s not Kongming understood that time is draining the Shu kingdom into collapse
So...what's the differences between 7 and 7XL?
