Jenn...I 100% agree with you about being nice to the cast members. My daughter works at a theme park and it is very scary and nerve racking for them to ask guests to put on or pull up their masks. The cast members are afraid of how the guests will react. It has caused my daughter soo much stress and it is affecting her health and mental health.. They are just doing what they are instructed to do..please please please be kind to our cast members they are working hard to bring us rhe magic.

@@sassymouth2056 ... A guy threw a bottle of hand sanitizer at my head when I asked him to wear a mask. And I work at a pharmacy in Canada. Yeah. Customer service workers feel unsafe when stuff like this happens.
I'll tell you guys this. I work at Disney Springs, and worked opening the same day yall went. For the most part, people were very respectful, however some were just downright vile. People act like we enjoy "forcing" guests to wear masks, when of course if we could wave a wand and make it all normal, we would! It's been super tough these past few days, and I don't see a change to that anytime soon!

I also get very anxious about dealing with people, so I feel you! I pray this gets resolved quickly for you. (And that people would just be patient and kind...all the time!)

I worked at a Disney Store up until April 2021. People were very rude all the time about masks..... I feel sorry for those cast members.. 😬

That is super unfair, I’m so sorry to hear it.
I feel for you. I work at a grocery store in Canada but masks are still mandated. I can’t imagine the feeling of having those restrictions some what lifted only to leave employees in a weird limbo space and dealing with angry customers.
I recently lost my mum to Covid and I’m so grateful you guys still wear your masks, it feels like she’s died and everyone’s returning to normal ignoring the severity of this pandemic, it’s comforting to know that even half a world away people are still being safe💜
The moment you two took your masks off felt like such an emotional moment. Thank you for being authentic and being honest about not quite feeling ready. It's going to take some folks some time to get to feel comfortable again, I think. Kindness always matters.

I’m vaccinated and feel comfortable not wearing a mask, but I truly believe that people should do what they feel comfortable with and I will totally respect people’s decisions. I’m just excited to see people again!
Wearing a mask is primarily to protect others, it's not to protect yourself.

I'm a former infection nurse, this "person"/bot is spouting complete lies. Surgical masks prevent people from spreading bacteria and viruses, n95 will protect the wearer. It's about gradients, if a virus/bacteria makes it to your face, you will need a finer filter vs leaving the mouth/nose....kind of why it's polite to sneeze into a tissue or arm crook...or you can sneeze into the air and throw large droplets into the air. And I caught COVID from a postive patient who can't wear a mask for other reasons. I had shortness of breath for 4 months after testing positive. My BMI is average, blood pressure is low, and I have no other comorbidities. So, hello! volunteer in India... do something productive with your life.
@@Hello-cg3th It isn't 99.99%. We once had over 100k hospitalized because of covid lol, the highest of any country. It's not that people want to live their life in fear, we just want to all be vaccinated so we can finally stamp out this virus(Like Australia or New Zealand etc). Which it's working, we just reported 16k cases in the US, the lowest since early 2020. If only we could get everyone onboard to get the shot, we could keep cases and deaths at a minimum, and countries will finally open up to us for tourists again.

I live in rural Pennsylvania where I only know of 3-5 people who got Corona virus since the pandemic began. So glad I live where I live especially considering I used to complain in the past that there was nothing to do here, but we have been lucky enough to not feel concerned about covid. Glad to see you guys moving towards normal.
I live in the middle of NYC. Most people I know had it (except my direct family), about half have chronic ailments as a result that they didn't have before, and 26 people I know have died between March through May 2020 (17 of which were healthy and young). I stopped counting. It's crazy to see the stark differences in and out of dense cities. 🙁
@@velocity1012 Wow.. I'm so sorry for your losses. There has been so much loss for so many people I get the sense that our nation is becoming numb. My entire family lives 45 mins outside of NYC and we consider ourselves blessed to not experience any loss even though it has gotten very close.
@@jramos112795 Thank you. Most were between 30 to 60 years old. It was hard on their families. In my early 30s, I don't think it's normal (outside of a warzone) to know so many people that I grew up with that are no longer alive. But based on Experiences like yours, I totally see how there are many people that think the actions of governments around the world were too extreme (in shutting everything down). I'm hopeful sharing what I've seen is helpful to others.

We were at animal kingdom Saturday and a cast member I spoke to said it happened so late at night when she got to work the next day she was trying to tell people to put their mask on. I feel bad for the cast members everything is happening so quick and constantly changing.

I’m with you Jenn...I’m not ready either. I am fully vaccinated but I am still hesitant to go fully mask free.
The mask protects the wearer as well. Plus, I am concerned about the variants, known and unknown and how long the vaccine will keep me safe. Everyone has their own level of security when it comes to wearing a mask so I know I will continue to wear a mask when I am indoors and if it is crowded outdoors.

Lol! Read the tag on your mask. I didnt wear a mask for nearly a year and never got covid, but once i decided to wear one this past Feb I got covid a month later. Now I have natural immunity and wasn't getting the FDA non approved "vaccine" that more and more are dying from. No vaccine is approved by the FDA but permitted in an emergency situation. I hope you all are safe...you're are being used as vaccine testers.
@@stephensmith6790 with all due respect, I’m a registered nurse who has worked directly and indirectly with COVID patients. I wear all types of masks...from hospital grade “paper”, cloth (in the hallways), N95s and full face respirators. Never once got COVID...same goes for my co-workers. Stop spreading the myth that masks make you catch COVID. That’s absurd...and I’m being censored and nice about it because I don’t want to distract from this amazing video from the Trackers. We can continue this discussion off this video if you want to talk facts.
So watching, and my 3 yr old came to see what I was watching, and he goes, "oh look, our friends!" I didn't think I watched the Trackers that much, but I guess I do 😂
So true about masks and cast members. My dad works at Epcot and it's still pretty bad in regards of wearing a mask inside a store or ride.

With this new mask rule, I’m more concerned for kids under 12 (who can’t get vaccine yet) and kids under 2 (who can’t get vaccine OR wear a mask).

Jenn, I agree that the mask rules changed so quickly. In Maryland, fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks indoors (businesses can still mandate masks indoors, however) or outdoors. I am fully vaccinated, but I am planning to remain cautious.
I’m from Maryland also the No Mask policy caught me off guard, I will definitely continue to be super cautious.

@@sierrar6514 If you want to be super cautious, you need to wear N95 masks (or similar), ideally with a valve, so you can breathe easier, not the masks approved for wearing at Disney; these masks are designed to reduce the risk of you having COVID and passing it on to others - not protecting yourself.

As someone who works at an outdoor mall, very, very similar to Disney Springs, I know EXACTLY what these cast members are going through. People are ignorant and selfish and just plain rude, and they don't care about something until it affects them! For those of us who work with the public, we did not have the luxury of staying home with our families during this pandemic, but have had to work through it. When a customer says "I haven't been to (insert said place here) in over a year" or complains about wearing a mask I can't agree with them lol because I've been there 5 days out of 7 while wearing a mask the entire time! I did not get to have quality time with my family, I did not get to get to do little projects or catch up on shows, try new hobbies or interests, etc. Just NONE of that.
So when I hear people complain about this pandemic and not being able to go to restaurants or bars or theme parks or what have you, I tell them that the silver lining of this whole situation is this: WE CANNOT TAKE ANYTHING OR ANYONE FOR GRANTED. If people cannot be respectful then they should not be allowed in. It literally costs NOTHING to be a GOOD PERSON and do your DUE DILIGENCE! Thank you to the Trackers for being a prime example of what human beings should be. These people are respectful and have class and that is just a couple of things that I really love about them. Your son is going to be an amazing person just like you guys!

I was at Disney this weekend when they got rid of the mask mandate and tears came to my eyes as I walked into Epcot Saturday. It felt soooo normal and there was this....energy and excitement all around. Even the cast members seemed super positive about the change. At MK on Sunday I heard many cast members reminding guests that they had to wear their masks in line but as soon as they left the building they could take it off. I didn’t see anyone in the 2 days giving any CMs problems. We were all just so happy to have them off!
It was awesome! We were also at Epcot Saturday and MK Sunday. It was refreshing not having to wear a mask outside in this horrible heat. Eating/drinking and walking at Epcot was my favorite!
This was from the day we saw you Saturday. My daughter was the 12yr old who was crying when she saw you, as we were going through security. Thank you so much for stopping and talking to her. It made her day! She has talked about it so much and has anxiously been checking non stop for your video.
You have to wear a mask in line through security for the same reason you have to wear a mask in ride queues and indoors- lots of people bunches together.

Jen, I too suffer from mask anxiety lol. It is weird being able to have it off now. We longed for normalcy and it’s hard to settle back in to life before the pandemic.
I'm so used to carry/use masks (and hand sanitizer), way prior to covid, that the transition from "need to" to "don't need to", is nonexistent to me.

I think this is very good with the no mask outside because it’s going to be summer and the Florida heat is very deadly so I’m happy for this also I agree about being kind to the cast members they work so hard to keep the magic and just be nice in general to not ruin anyone’s experience
When this was announced we were in magic kingdom and cast members ere ecstatic but some were very much on top of it saying if you interact with us “ordering food “ wear your mask. We are not big on the mask but we respect the rules and others and how they feel. They were kind and nice. Love Disney
We were so excited when we got to try Gideon's, but at the other location. There were literally 5 people in line on a Saturday afternoon. They don't carry as many of the flavors as Disney Springs but they have most of the main cookies. Now I see why people love them so much. Soooo good.

I love the new mask rules! I feel perfectly safe outdoors without a mask and I see no problems with still needing to wear a mask indoors or while in line for an attraction. The new rule came just in time for the summer visitors-hooray! Another vlogger did say that Disney is increasing their park capacity in a big way (no specifics) for the summer. Any word on this Tim and Jenn? My guess is park capacity will be up to 75% in time for the 50th anniversary-what do you guys think??

I think I'm on the same page as the Trackers with the masks. Just keep em on if they don't bug you.
My twins are around 11 months older than Jackson and my wife and I always wonder if Jackson will match certain behaviors they had 11 months after them. Jackson’s timing on changing his mind regarding food landed almost to the day of when my kids started dropping foods they absolutely loved.

Here in central Louisiana people haven't wore mask indoors for weeks. The only place I have encountered that made you wear a mask was Game Stop. Everything is going good.
Tim and Jen obviously don’t go to downtown Orlando often... Haha masks haven’t been a thing for about 7 months already and everyone is fine having a great time. 😁😂

I’d do the same thing and just wear it when it gets busy and distancing from people is hard. I’m fully vaccinated so I’m not really worried about getting it since if I do it shouldn’t be bad but I still don’t want it.
@@JP-et9hv I’ve read recent reports that say the vaccine helps protect against the variant. Everything changes day to day so we just have to do what we think is best for us.
@@KariHarrell If you wear a mask to protect yourself, then you need an N95 mask (with a valve to help you breathe easier). If you are worried about droplets, you'd also need a face visor (to prevent droplets getting in through the eyes). If you want to protect others from you potentially having COVID, then the masks that Disney recommends are fine. Those types of masks won't protect you though.
@@andyp8747 I’ve read that a mask can be somewhat effective at preventing droplets from reaching my nose and mouth. I feel that between a mask and being fully vaccinated I’m pretty safe in a public setting around people. Stores around me still require it and it’s required for my job so I still wear it. In their situation at Disney Springs when it was basically empty I would have taken off the mask like Jenn did which is why I responded to her question on what we think about the mask rule. I didn’t respond to have a conversation about whether the vaccine works or not or how a mask works. We all just have to do what we think is best for us now that they have relaxed all precautions.
Can’t wait to walk around outside at WDW while chugging my water in the Florida summer heat. So many times I’ve been too excited to stop and drink water 😅
When we put in our name at Gideon’s 3 weeks ago (early Friday morning) they told us it would be an 80 min wait and it was only 10 minutes before we were called back.

Wine Bar George is great. We went there before Gideons opened and loved it. Thanks to the recommendation of Tim & Jen. Can't wait to go back and try Gideons next time. Now that we live in Tampa we can get to Orlando in about an hour and a half. So happy to be close to Disney again.

My sister was like that when we were growing up. 1 week she would eat something, the next week she has a fit insisting she hates it and denies ever saying she liked it, That is what my Mum had to deal with throughout our childhood. My Mum is a Saint.
