Make sure to watch the updated tutorial on this - ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlsi=ZdDoxV4AMSS1MwnV. Amazon is retiring the Site Stripe image option (only links will work from the new year).
Good quick video. I was hoping you would talk about affiliate link disclosures. I don't see any on your sample. I just signed up for the Amazon Affiliate link program, so I was researching the best way and where to display disclosures - that is what drove me to this video.
For Amazon links in particular, you need a disclosure similar to "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases". Display wise - add it before any affiliate links are added in the article, but don't make it the first or second paragraph. I usually add it 3 paragraphs in in each blog post, and have it linked on the sidebar/footer as well. Does this help, or what other questions do you have around it?
@@TheSheApproach Hi Ana. I put it at the very top of the article with a slight purple background (my primary colors of the web site are purple) and it states "When you make a purchase through our links, we may earn commissions from Amazon and other retailers. You can learn more about our affiliate and privacy policy here (with here being a link to our privacy policy). I am working on the linking on the sidebar, but for some reason when the page drops below 600 pixels wide, my sidebar is disappearing instead of getting dropped to the bottom of the page like it is suppose to. And since about 85% of our web traffic is from mobile, I need to troubleshoot it and get it fixed. Amazon has retired that function. I've created an updated tutorial that shows how to grab images here - ua-cam.com/video/S7kinemaeEw/v-deo.htmlsi=l_2O1A9gIL4ks6e5
Hi Eventhough we select the large image type, The image is very small on the blog. How can we get a full resolution image from amazon? Also, I don't want to user to accidentally click the image and go away from the page. Is it OK if I edit the HTML code and remove the hyperlink associated with the image?
I think you can edit the back-end code to display the image in a larger size. (Look at the width and length pixels). But I wouldn’t remove the Amazon affiliate link. It’s kind of a rule that you can use those images because you are directing people back to Amazon. You can make sure that they open in a new tab instead if they don’t automatically.
hi ana thank you for the video. i got a question. are you familiar with milkshake app? it's basically a landing page. you can paste our affiliate links there but for the product image theres no html box unlike in blogs so the only option is to upload image directly from phone. i heard that you just cant download any amazon product image but what if we download only the cover photo (the first image) of any product? and make a list / catalogue products with these images? would that be counted as violation? thank you so much if u read this!
Not familiar with app you mentioned. And, as far as I know, you can't add Amazon affiliate links to apps, unless you have them listed on your Amazon affiliate account. I know some bloggers go around that rule and take screenshots of the products to add their links to, but it's risky.
Amazon removed the image option unfortunately. There are a few other ways to go about adding images now - which I share in this video: ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlsi=8ThALppAuIrrecfV
Yes. But I sometimes find that the text+image gadget gets hidden by the adblocker, so you will want to add a text link as well nearby and anchor it to words if that makes sense.
Can you add your Amazon “lists” link to the milkshake app & still get commission if someone buys off your list OR do you have to individually add each item link to milkshake to get commission?
Yes - those affiliate links will still track sales. You can also link to categories/search pages/bestseller lists etc. If Site Stripe is generating a link for you, you are free to use it.
The image option has been retired from the Site Stripe. There are 2 new ways in which you can generate and grab the images as an affiliate > I show them both in this updated video: ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlsi=JKNfYBgH634qjRHi
Hi! I am from Italy and I would like to link a US account...however when I try to register for the US account I can't proceed because I have to enter a US address and a US bank account. Do you have any tips? :)
Do you have the option when using Elementor to add the Amazon image of the product on the blog page to embed a clickable image that will redirect to Amazon to purchase the product? I hope my question makes sense?
@@TheSheApproach Thank you so much, Ana! Yes, the clickable image looks so much better visually and I'll make sure to have the disclaimer at the top of the blog page.
I make 40% of my blogging income through affiliate sales, so no, it's not too late! Traffic is down for bloggers who have been hit by the Google update, but it's worth rebuilding and there's room for new affiliates. But you have to build worthwhile content, and not just promotional content!
@@DonnaAgrinsonis A combination of digital product sales (eBooks & courses, templates etc), sponsorships, ad income and coaching. I break it down in my income reports: thesheapproach.com/category/income-reports/
It's 24 hours after someone clicks on the link, but it can be at anytime after you posted it. The individual clicks all trigger their own 24 hours window.
Hi Ana, I'm coming up with a 'this image is empty alt attribute' error message when I insert the HTML. I've read in forums Amazon doesn't put in alt tags, how would we go about this, or can you direct me somewhere to fix this issue, please. Ty
Hello. That's a strange issue! Most of the time, if you use the custom HTML block, it picks up the information from the code. I think you are able to add the alt text attribute manually once you've inserted that. Found a quick tutorial for you with photos that walks you through: buildawellnessblog.com/add-amazon-affiliate-images-wordpress/. Let me know if the issue still persists!
The image feature was taken down by Amazon. Working on an updated tutorial, but I explain what you can do now for images in this video: ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
You can link to any product they allow you to generate a link to, including any of their category pages. Just be transparent and don't lie that you've used a product if you haven't, as you don't want to ruin the trust you have with your readers.
You need to use a tool that uses Amazon's APIs (and that updates those automatically every 24 hours). I use and love Lasso > www.thesheapproach.com/Lasso. You can try them out for free for 14 days. In my opinion, if you have an affiliate website who heavily relies on Amazon, it's worth it!
So when I go to link the amazon affiliate link I'm not seeing any options to make it a sponsored link I don't see any of the 3 (no follow) (open in new link) or ( sponsored link) option is there a special plugin I need to have to see these options please someone help! I can't figure it out!
No special plugin required. The box should show up, but sometimes you have to add the link, then go back to "edit" it for the option to show up - as it's now under the edit pen icon now.
Great question! You can embed affiliate links directly without plugins, but there are limitations - you can't display the price, the prime badge or the reviews. And showing them can often increase conversions. I use and love www.thesheapproach.com/lasso for my other blog and it's made a huge difference! Another plugin you can use is the thesheapproach.com/amalink one - which is better for comparison websites or posts. I could do a video comparing the two in the future if you find that useful.
How can you copy the link for other images of a product? Products on Amazon have more than one image. How could I copy the link for 2nd and 3rd images? Also, can you use amazon images as featured image?
Images are no longer available via the Site Stripe - I made a more recent video about it and how to grab images instead here: ua-cam.com/video/S7kinemaeEw/v-deo.htmlsi=7LAVES74p2QGGC6X
@@TheSheApproach Thank you SO much for getting back to me so quickly and for sharing this new video! I learned so much from you yesterday - I watched many of your videos. Great job!
Hi, when I embed the link directly from amazon its appear very beautiful in the front end in term of looks but when I copy the link to custom HTML code it doesn't appear that I embedded first. Can you try it and tell me how to make their dimension like embedded link. For example, I have uploaded my article directly from ms word to my website through share option, the affiliate links in the aricle converted to images very attractive but when I copy the links from amzon and paste it in the custom HTML sectio n it wasn't that great.
Hi Zaid. Try copying the article from Word to document without the affiliate links, and then embedded the HTMLs provided by Amazon directly into Wordpress in the HTML box, or preview the whole article in HTML text and embedded it there, then move back to Preview. Adding columns can also help keep the images fixed in an article. (Or using an image + text on the side column set.) If it doesn’t work, can you provide some screenshots so I can see exactly what is causing it?
Amazon has now retired the Site Stripe images. I made a video on it and how you can grab images here - ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlsi=Ldb5vmKYusGw6JNZ
I just looked up the ❌ and ✅ emojis and used them in columns. The Lasso plugin also has that feature included in their boxes (and it looks much better): thesheapproach.com/lasso
I have a website and my blog is attached to it. I’m interested in getting an Amazon affiliate storefront. When I post a new blog it automatically sends an email to my subscribers let them know, so my question is if I have Amazon link’s attached to my blog and that is sent in the email can I get in trouble with Amazon?
Good question! It shouldn't - as usually your readers will get a snippet of the blog post, not the entire article. So if they have to click to read the article first, you are good.
If I am a Canadian Affiliate, how can I change to become a US Affiliate? As a Canadian Affiliate I can't add other countries to my list of links. So, I can only sell in Canada. I understand if I was a US affiliate I could add other countries. Hope that makes sense.
You sign up to Amazon US affiliate separately, and connect the two accounts via the One Link setting. I have a video on it: ua-cam.com/video/bZzfo3E-I2c/v-deo.html
Not if you share it publicly. They do allow you to embed images via their site stripe image code or an authorised plugin like www.thesheapproach.com/lasso.
Not entirely sure how Koji works, but you should be able to add the normal links on there without the images. Worth checking with their support and ask how to integrate Amazon links.
I was looking for 3 days to find this, and i found with you Ana, bravo

Yes - those affiliate links will still track sales. You can also link to categories/search pages/bestseller lists etc. If Site Stripe is generating a link for you, you are free to use it.
Hi TY! why dont I have the image option?
The image option has been retired from the Site Stripe. There are 2 new ways in which you can generate and grab the images as an affiliate > I show them both in this updated video: ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlsi=JKNfYBgH634qjRHi
@@TheSheApproach thankk you!!
Hi! I am from Italy and I would like to link a US account...however when I try to register for the US account I can't proceed because I have to enter a US address and a US bank account. Do you have any tips? :)
You don't need a US address or bank account - I use UK ones for my US account without problem. Just select the right country.
Do you have the option when using Elementor to add the Amazon image of the product on the blog page to embed a clickable image that will redirect to Amazon to purchase the product? I hope my question makes sense?
If someone else knows that answer to my question can you please let me know. Thanks!
Yes - you can copy the HTML code that Amazon generates, and add it to an Elementor page via an HTML block.
Let me know if that works!
@@TheSheApproach Thank you so much, Ana! Yes, the clickable image looks so much better visually and I'll make sure to have the disclaimer at the top of the blog page.
Different people keep saying affiliate income is way down. Is it still worth it to do affiliate marketing?
I make 40% of my blogging income through affiliate sales, so no, it's not too late! Traffic is down for bloggers who have been hit by the Google update, but it's worth rebuilding and there's room for new affiliates. But you have to build worthwhile content, and not just promotional content!
@@TheSheApproachThanks. Where does the rest of your blogging income come from?
@@DonnaAgrinsonis A combination of digital product sales (eBooks & courses, templates etc), sponsorships, ad income and coaching. I break it down in my income reports: thesheapproach.com/category/income-reports/
As A new affiliate , I don't have the image in my stripe, so what should I do?
The image option was taken away. I have an updated video & tutorial on it here: thesheapproach.com/amazon-site-stripe-images-update-api-fix/?swcfpc=1
Do we have to sell in 24 hours or can we get commission after 4 months of posting my product?
It's 24 hours after someone clicks on the link, but it can be at anytime after you posted it. The individual clicks all trigger their own 24 hours window.
I left blue host for name hero and I lost to new version of wordpress... any suggestions on how to get it back?
Hosting shouldn't impact that - Wordpress will let you know where they have new versions available from the wp-admin dashboard.
On my amazon affiliate page only copy text option is available. No image copy option. why is that?
The image feature was taken down by Amazon. Working on an updated tutorial, but I explain what you can do now for images in this video: ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Can you link literally any Amazon product in youre article or are there only limited links/products to use?
You can link to any product they allow you to generate a link to, including any of their category pages.
Just be transparent and don't lie that you've used a product if you haven't, as you don't want to ruin the trust you have with your readers.
Is there a way to dynamically get the price of the item from Amazon and show it on your website?
You need to use a tool that uses Amazon's APIs (and that updates those automatically every 24 hours).
I use and love Lasso > www.thesheapproach.com/Lasso. You can try them out for free for 14 days. In my opinion, if you have an affiliate website who heavily relies on Amazon, it's worth it!
What would cause the image affiliate link to display on Firefox, but not display on Chrome on my site?
It might be a browser issue. But hopefully it will show to your audience.
Do we need plugins for Amazon Affiliate? If yes, which plugins are the best.
You can only use the first image unfortunately.
I can only access a link, not images in my Amazon Affiliate account. Is this because I'm new?
(Or using an image + text on the side column set.)
If it doesn’t work, can you provide some screenshots so I can see exactly what is causing it?
the image link is not showing on associate stripe from UK amazon site.
Amazon has now retired the Site Stripe images. I made a video on it and how you can grab images here - ua-cam.com/video/lAWzpkxni2s/v-deo.htmlsi=Ldb5vmKYusGw6JNZ
I have a question, for your blog pros and cons how did you set it up like that with the green tick and red cross i really like it!
cheers
@@TheSheApproach thank you.

@@TheSheApproach Thank you so much for the reply. I will go watch that video now and give it a try :)
can you still be kicked out of the affiliates program using the amazon images even through a link?
Not if you share it publicly. They do allow you to embed images via their site stripe image code or an authorised plugin like www.thesheapproach.com/lasso.
My question is, how do I add an Amazon product image to my KOJI affiliate link profile, or is this not possible on their site?
Not entirely sure how Koji works, but you should be able to add the normal links on there without the images. Worth checking with their support and ask how to integrate Amazon links.
how can I mark it sponsored as I don't have that option in word press
Do you see the no-follow toggle?
i have a question imige is not in my task bar what do i need to do
Do you see the text only option?
