It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, emotional resonance, and performance's by the cast. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. I am absolutely and positivity happy that they acknowledged it as a feminist and cult film which indicates it's finally getting the recognition and credibility it deserves as critics and audiences are fully understanding and comprehending the interpretation of the story as the director Diablo Cody's intention was to make a film that speaks to female empowerment and explores the complex relationship between best friends. It also gives a metaphorical representation of female puberty and adolescence. 😍😎💯👍
Megan Fox did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Jennifer Check as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role as she displayed the elements of the character's bitchiness, snarkiness, sassiness, cockiness, arrogance, and narcissistic nature. This is one of her most greatest, iconic, and memorable roles in cinema.😍😎💯👍😏
See, in the film she's funny, but in reality girls like her are vicious and spiteful. I've seen so many girls whose female "best friends" browbeat and torment and demean them, especially in public, and they try to laugh it off as playful girly teasing, when really there's no affection or gentility in it, and it's genuine bullying.
Seriously underrated movie that flew FAR too sadly below the radar for most -it didn't get a lot of media attention and most people who WERE aware of it wrote it off as just another hyper-campy cliche teenie murder horror focused almost exlusively on "Hey isn't Megan Fox hot??"........but it's acrually INCREDIBLY fun and rather unique: it takes a rather unusual yet REALLY successful approach to intermixing the elements of horror and comedy in a way that works really unexpectedly well. And even though she isn't given TONS to work with, Megan Fox actually does a much better job acting in that role than I think most who elected not to see the movie expected she would. I actually just rewatched this on my phone about a week ago, hence all the related UA-cam suggestions lately, presumably because Google is spying on even the local files I access on my phone, via my Google account attached to my phone.
