The apostasy is amazing. How spirit denying can a people be. Deut 28 says “I have put before you blessing and curses”. The UMC has chosen curses.

Watching the death of a church that I left decades ago because it had utterly lost it's way.
    Very sad.

Jesus did not commission us to "reflect the diversity of God's Kingdom". He commissioned us to, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Totally agree that Jesus commissioned us to go and make disciples, and then we were shown the diversity of God's Kingdom in Acts 2. We certainly cannot make disciples of all nations if we exclude people who are not like us.

@@TimJones-13We don’t exclude preaching the gospel to people who are not like us. Paul made that clear. But we also don’t water down the gospel to make it more palatable to the unrepentant. Paul made that clear as well.
The reason we don’t judge others is because we’re not God. We are called to rid ourselves of our own sin instead of judging others sin. But that doesn’t mean we are called to condone sin.
To do so for the sake of diversity makes a mockery of Jesus sacrifice.
What shall we say then, do we continue sinning so that Grace may abound? By no means! We have died to sin, how can we live in it any longer?

@@TimJones-13we’re called to make disciples, yes. Absolutely!! But as disciples of Jesus, we must repent and guide others to Him to repent of their sins. “Go and sin no more”Biblical truths aren’t debatable because I feel like I don’t agree or think I have interpreted something differently for the first time. If I find something in the Bible I can’t accept, the goal is for me to change myself to align with the scripture, not change the scripture to align with my lifestyle.

What I hear you saying foremost is that: If a person is in a position of leadership and that person doesn’t think like you (and share your particular ideals); that person is unwelcome, part of the problem, and must step down. Perhaps you should extend a hand of friendship to someone who is not like you and does not share your beliefs. Will it be a genuine friendship, or will you inwardly continue to despise their beliefs? How is that loving your neighbor as yourself? Secondly, I hear you saying that you know a better way to build God’s kingdom … the Bible is quite clear that God builds his own kingdom, not man. Embracing inclusion of man’s wretched sins and sinful life choices, affirms the sin as a positive thing and encourages people to stray from God’s commandments. How does this bring people to the real God as revealed in His God-breathed scripture? Unless a man is convicted of his sin against a Holy God, he will not truly and earnestly repent.
