- Tate presents a rare chance to experience two of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms. These immersive installations will transport you into Kusama’s unique vision of endless reflections.
Infinity Mirrored Room - Filled with the Brilliance of Life is one of Kusama’s largest installations to date and was made for her 2012 retrospective at Tate Modern. It is shown alongside Chandelier of Grief, a room which creates the illusion of a boundless universe of rotating crystal chandeliers.
A small presentation of photographs and moving image - some on display for the first time - provides historical context for the global phenomenon that Kusama’s mirrored rooms have become today.

I came across a book at the library recently about her life and was instantly captivated by how her mental illness revved up her motivation to work incessantly. She was remarkably prolific as a child and remains so to this day. I live with mental illness myself and so seeing artists like her, Van Gogh, and others who have publicly struggled with inner demons and chronic psychological symptoms truly inspires me to become an artist as well. It's something that I've always secretly wanted to do but have only dabbled in as a hobby because of my fear of failure. But a success like Yayoi, although incredibly rare, still stands as beacon of hope that says "maybe I could try this too".
Filled With The Brillance of Life is a room that is welcoming and breathtaking to immerse.
Incredible rooms to visit. It was great to see the photography of her life and the footage of her time in America in Walking Piece.
Such beautiful transformative work!
Thank you very much Yayaoi Kusamo and
Tate Modern
Sincerely,
Her work is amazing
Just breathtaking.
Always thought mirrors were fascinating when you combine the reflection's together..
In terms of this woman, she has a very brilliant mind !❤👍👍👍

Untill april 2024, just bought tickets today!
Is it still available?
Just bought tickets today. It will be at the Tate untill april 2024
went today, was nothing like the video. too many people allowed in these tiny rooms at a time. all you see in the mirrors in refections of all the people. it's like being in the middle of huge crowds. and you're only allowed in for 2 minutes.

Funny how we rarely talk about mental illness in politics or science...
i am not sure one can enjoy her work completely when Tate gives you 2min to see the work.
A lot of people in London, everybody must see, so adapt or pay members fee, whats fair i guess. They should do a 3d videos of her work more people to enjoy on Virtual, that's what fairest, i guess..... 🤪
I just did 2 of her experiences in DC. They only give you 90 seconds. It’s more than enough time. The rooms are tiny
!! Am doing it ? 🖌️🔴🔵⚫⚪⭕🧶🔆⏺️🔴🔵⚪⁉️
:-)
The woke language in this is nauseating…still, great art
Was just to comment about the same thing.
Visually wonderful stuff.....Zen moments slowed ! Yayoi Kusama seemed to find liberation in Western Post Modern/ Experimental forms pioneered by mostly white males. I assume the technical / electrical/ digital work supporting her work is done predominantly by males? Pity about the needless prim ideological preachings of the vestal virgins of the Tate Temple of Modern Art . This woman revels in being a female of the human species.Stop segregating her 1. As a woman 2. As a woman of colour....the scale of her art speaks to everyone.Stop making Art into an identitarian apartheid.
I'm unsubscribing, this is just embarrassing, this channel is for children
