Putting bikegear on the passenger is number 1 priority, especially when you take them for a race on open streets😉

Riding etiquette: If you're riding behind someone you don't know and/or they don't know you're there, don't pass them in the same lane they're in. It can really throw them off, and is generally a dick move unless you can signal that you're going to pass.
Yeah I get pretty annoyed when riders do this, especially in Traffic. When I'm in traffic I am safely changing lanes fairly often so when another bike whizes up next to me just when I'm about to change lanes... It's not very smart.
And punishment for doing that is what, death?

All it take is for someone to open a car/truck door and he is toast. Officer someone drove by pointing at my tires so at the stop I opened the door to look. Had no idea some jerk would be spitting lanes. So easy to do.
He only said that in the video so it didn’t look like he was trying to join their formation and pretend like he was some sort of badass. @@jonytube He should have moved to the slow lane, but sharing a lane requires both riders to agree. Blowing right by another rider without so much as a signal is not cool. And it could have caused an accident if the other rider had moved over, as he was entitled to do in his lane.

I a biker wants to race cars on the freeway, do it on your own and not with a passenger on the back. Not only is it stupid it is seriously dangerous for other road users as well.
As to the guy that got kicked. He has his own channel and showed the full video. He is riding a Harley. He says he was trying to catch up to them. But later says its true what they say about passing Hells Angels. I wanted more detail, but the comments are turned off.
From other video, it looks like he is accelerating in right lane behind the "club" in the right lane. He is kicked by club member riding in back of 4 more club bikes. It looks like the issue was not about passing, but about the guy getting to close to the pack. He says he is waved on by club "president" and it shows him passing them on the left without further incident. From videos, I could not tell if they were a club or not.
I found this interesting. I have ridden 2 different Harleys on highways all over the U.S. in the past 27 + years (no club/no patches). I have ridden up on packs of other bikers. But regardless if the have patches or not and regardless of what type of bike or biker, I always keep my distance as I would for a car or other vehicle. If they are crusing too slow for me, I signal and pass them on the left no matter who they are. Never have had a problem. Never.
This. If other riders are in a group, approach with caution and pass with care, regardless of what type of bike or patches they have. If we don't look out for one another, how can we expect drivers to do so?

Seems like a foolish thing to do. Most cyclists find another bike, will signal as the other bike turns, just general well being and camaraderie type shit. But then you have bikers like op being total tools. Passing in the same lane, trying to overtake an entire group of bikers etc. seems like bad culture all around. .

@@dotdot3624 First off, you have mirrors for seeing what's coming up from the rear, second, while it is more risky, the same situation applies to lane splitting and so while it has a higher risk to all involved, it should be acceptable and reasonable to pass a motorcycle in the same lane without an emotional meltdown. That being said, if I have another lane to pass, I'd choose that over sharing the biker's lane out of courtesy.

There's a reason why so many women are deathly afraid of, and opposed to, motorcycles. Some girls do, most don't like it. My ex was tiny, like 5 foot 105lbs. I could handle the bike almost identical to riding solo when she was on. I prob topped out with her on the back in the 150 mph range . I used to get forcibly squeezed once I pushed us past 120mph tho. She was a damn good passenger overall tho. Id lean HARD in turns and she just followed along with body movements. Worst passenger is someone who is exceptionally nervous, holds on too tight, and has a tendency to keep center gravity up, forcing the driver to "fight" the bike into turns. Ive taken a whole shit ton of girls over the past decade for rides, only one had to be dropped off after going around the block. I couldn't breathe she was holding on so tight, and making all sorts of distress noises behind me. No thanms

I’m not proud of it but I pulled out onto a round about one time and the sun was creating a huge glare. It looked safe to pull out to I did and I was inches away from hitting a motorcyclist, he was super cool about it and said it happens. I still feel guilty to this day, even though I didn’t actually hit him. Think bike!!
I ride a dual sport and just ride over that center part on the roundabout making my path straight as I can and avoid this stuff.

I learned to be extra careful in roundabouts. Lady almost took me out and made me lay it down. People don't do this shit on purpose. There's never a reason to be a confrontational douche like you see on most of these videos. People make mistakes.

There is a difference between "trying to pass" and trying to become part of the pack by passing the tail rider on the inside of the lane. Rider was an idiot and it didn't matter that it was the HA's as any other riders would have reacted the same and try to kick some sense into him.

I scared my girlfriend like that once…she started having a panic attack on the back of the bike and almost choked me out. If you’re going to do something incredibly stupid, do it when you’re by yourself.
I worked a motorcycle accident late one night. boyfriend driving decided to race, hit a curb went up on the median he ducked under a road sign but his girlfriend on the back didn’t. That thin 16th inch stainless still road sign took her head clean off. Her head was still in the helmet and the helmet was still strapped under her chin. Don’t do stupid things with a passenger that has no control of their destiny.

To this day, my mom still talks about that time in 1979 when she was on the back of dad's H2 and he decided to race his buddy's Hemi GTX. Not only was there an unintentional wheelie involved, but she had her helmet tied loose which caught air and acted like a parachute. She felt like her head was going to get ripped off or she'd be ripped off the back if the bike. Never got onto it again. 25 years later, when I proudly showed my mom the sweet vintage Kawasaki I'd just bought, the look in her eyes was like a mother watching her child get hit by a truck. Lol
