Comments with context - The E90 sounded the best while I was watching TY on TV. The mic is both vintage and futuristic because it resembles the 50/60's version of futuristic design. A ray gun from your favorite old sci-fi TV show or The Twilight Zone episode. I'll send my other remark offline - peace and thank you!
I think it sounds good and I love the XLR mute feature, but about two minuets in, as soon as you said, “that CAD states delivers latency-free monitoring”, I knew where things were headed. Disappointing, but not a dealbreaker if the price is right.
Hindenburg? Thatd be like naming your software Titanic. With a -65dbv sensitivity thats like worse than sm7b level (-59 iirc) im sure that doesnt help the noise. Omg that noise from having both cables plugged in. Youch. Mic dont sound bad, but not really one of those things that anyone NEEDED. Great video as always!!
CAD products are definitely a mixed bag. I haven't heard great things about their warranty support either. That said the e100 series are definitely worth a look (listen?) for male voice actors IMO.
Ouch, that noise flor in USB is just bad. Looks like they added some features that either don't work or are kinda gimmicky. It does sound decent in XLR mode though.
Definitely not crazy, it is noisy! I talk about it in my review section a bit, but when using this as a USB mic, it is too noisy in my opinion. With a good interface, using this as an XLR mic, it is solid… still needs quite a bit of gain though.
I am actually using a laptop mount that attaches to a mic stand. It works well. It’s not as sturdy as a vesa or 3/8 mount like the RCPII and duo have, but it gets the job done! This is the one I use: amzn.to/47btgcN
CAD300 (discontinued?) gives a most natural sound for talking from everything I ever tried. Not sure, but probably even "made in USA"... BTW Speaking to the second camera at that angle is like you a speaking not with viewers, but with a wall, not very good idea. Old videos were better

USB + XLR is the new multi-polar pattern for mic designers

Am i going crazy or is the E90 audio super super noisy compared to everything else? is that accurate?

Could you review the fifine AM8
Completely unrelated question 😅. How do you have the DLZ Creator mounted? (in background)

I feel like the mv7 was just exposed as sounding like a$$
All I hear is noise. Wow.
