- It was a truly epic weekend at MEGACON Orlando. With record breaking attendance, huge celebrities and some simply amazing cosplay, the fans turned out in force to celebrate!

My 1st MegaCon ever and it was a super cool experience. All the cosplayers were insane! Hats off to all you guys for the amazing effort and energy you put into this event. So many memories made. Can’t wait until next yr!

It was my first MegaCon, and I'm definitely looking forward to next year.
It had been years since I attended these, and I must say - it was a spectacular time! How exhilarating an atmosphere to be surrounded by legions of enthusiastic nerds who share the same passion for anime, manga, and video games as I. I was truly inspired and definitely plan to return next year. Perhaps my manga novelization, Deorum Legions, can feature in an official booth in 2023? That would be amazing. I have to acquire myself a legionary costume.
Had a great time at Megacon. This was the first time I ever attended anything like this. My granddaughter is into Anime and really wanted to go so I decided to take the entire family. Definitely met some great people and made some awesome memories for my granddaughter. Can't wait till next year!

Megacon was the best!! Billy West was my favorite! He was so so nice and wholesome I couldn't believe it man he is so precious. Wish I could be his friend and talk more with him man like hes such a good person. Love him always. Always stay positive everyone!! Also to the guy in the fry cosplay that went before us and was playing the Futurama theme- I loved your cosplay the best and you were also a very nice dude! Glad that we got to have experience! Have a very good year! Everyone's cosplay was awesome! Thank you!

I'm so glad I made it this year it was awesome as usual it's been quite some time since I've made it out to megacon I live in Vegas but I made the journey and it was totally worth it 🤘😎💚🖤

A little bummed the Spider-Conga line i helped make with 6 other spideys or that really big ass pointing meme with like 30 of us didn’t make it😂. Either way, had a hell of a time…and can not wait until next year!!

I took my 13 year old daughter on Saturday. This was our second Megacon. From the time we arrived at the West Concourse car line ...a very LONG one...until we actually got INTO the Convention Center..was TWO hours!!! It was disorganized and no workers outside the building to ask questions about where to go!! I was practically in tears. The Internet didn't work, so not only could I not buy anything with my debit card, I couldn't call my daughter to check in on her and her friend. Lots of people smelled bad because either their deodorant failed or they didn't shower before the event. I heard lots of people complaining about the smell. I was disappointed. My daughter enjoyed it.
Looking back on it, I don't know how anyone had fun. From the extremely hazardous vendor room (massive overcrowding and no visible concern for anyone's safety, just imagine if an incident occurred and everyone panicked) to the lack of fun and interesting panels, I enjoyed being at my hotel more than I did the event tbh, which has never been the case for any other con I've gone to. Vendors got screwed over with the wifi issues all weekend (they had to pay to use it and it kept going out, making transactions more difficult), people were passing out in the meet n greet lines, and it was shoulder to shoulder in just about every part of the hall with no regard for the disabled attendees. The worst part is, they knew just how many people were present at any given time due to the badge scanning, and that system was also very poorly implemented.
Maybe next time they'll rent more space, since they clearly have the means to do so. Maybe next time they'll have staff and security more present, instead of a handful of people on the last day after having received dozens of complaints.
It's a real shame, it was my first megacon and I won't be attending another until they take the necessary steps to make it a more exciting, and more importantly safer, experience.
I agree. I was there on Saturday and it was fine from opening 10:00 am to about noon. Then it got out of hand. It was so crowded you could barely walk. It was hard just to leave the building because there was no staff, security or visible marked exits.
Was my first MegaCon as well, but even some of the veteran MegaCon attendees would agree, but a good amount of it was due to no one really knowing or going last year because of push backs from covid, so people were really antsy to come this year now that covid is “finally” starting to go away, yes they should have accounted for this and expected way more people than usual, and yes the wi-fi was not great, I couldn’t livestream while i was there which really sucked as i wanted to share my first MegaCon with my followers. But all that said, i had an absolute blast while i was there, i met tons of great people, made some awesome friends, and even got a couple of really cool photos, and even did a photoshoot with another cosplayer, are there issues to fix…yes, but it shouldn’t be about what you couldn’t get or didn’t get out if it, it should be about the experiences you made. Obviously im speaking from the cosplayers perspective, so this viewpoint won’t touch base with everyone. But im more so just saying don’t knock an entire event due to some circumstances that weren’t expected in the scale that they appeared in
Agree, Used to be a better organized event. This one felt like a whole Hot-Topic MALL .. And damn, scalping the vendors $80 / f#cking Day for BASIC web access, the least they could do is ensure it WORKS.. Some cool exhibits, but jammed so close / overcrowded too much to ENJOY any of it. Felt bad for EVERY disabled attendee there, was not enough ROOM to maneuver a wheelchair anywhere, it seemed. Drove hours to get there, we also had more fun in the bloody car. Glad others had a better time, at least.
