I also miss the snack tasting (this has been a BIG hit for my family when we get together to try snacks from different countries)! I love the Ephy inclusion and all his antics. I found out that my true creative calling is making cards. But I have found this out by watching your Dephemerember 2023 and have been inspired by your creativity and original ideas. What a beautiful tribute to an icon. This page reminds me that I recently purchased a set of Frida inspired rubber stamps. This December series is so fun. I find myself on pins and needles waiting for your videos. I fell off the wagon after the first set of prompts, but plan to complete my Dephemerember journal before we welcome 2024! The Dephemberember has been a welcomed source of relief to create in spite of trials this year. In spite of the lack of stolen supplies I wanted to use, it prompted me to use the creative ones I had left to join in the fun! Thanks for stretching my creativity to new heights!

This was my first time participating with you, but I’ve been an avid viewer for all the Dephemerember events. Your first event in 2021 helped me after losing my mum. We moved to a new town in October, and my craft supplies are still boxed up while I wait for my crafting space to be set up. I haven’t been able to participate in Dephemerember, but I love watching your videos. My hands are just itching to create, and as soon as I can I’m going to try to make a page like your very first one-the butterfly with wire antennae as page attachments. You are so brilliant, Barbara, and I love your sense of humor when things don’t go as planned. In fact, your ability to refashion accidents into art is one of the things I enjoy most about your videos.
This was my first Dephemerember, I binged the two previous years and fell in love with the concept. I realized that I will probably be doing the prompts all year as I am disabled and can't do things as fast as I would like. I've been an artist my whole life and when I got sick I wasn't able to do it anymore. It's been 4 years and I've started to get some of my functionality back. Dephemerember has really taught me how to have patience with myself and my new way of working with my body. Plus the Dephemerember community, I joined a FB group, has been so supportive and encouraging. Thank you to you and Luise for leading these artistic endeavors ❤

I love the prompts during Dephemerember, they give me an opportunity to try new things. Even though it’s a busy time of year, I carve out time for both videos each day as a gift to myself. I love this tribute to Frida. Some of her self portraits scared the heck out of me. She was also a troubled, hurt and angry soul. Her art broke boundaries for sure.

This is my second year with Barbara's and Luise's Dephemerember adventure. I have learned that life is filled with so many artistic people that are not afraid to take chances. There will be mistakes made, but can easily be transformed into magical beauty. Art can bring comfort in times of sadness. I am so grateful to have found these two artistic friends to bring joy into my life. And Ephy, you were a great addition to this years Dephemerember adventure, and hope to see again ❤
Barbara, thank you for continuing what has become one of my "Christmas Traditions" - watching the "Dephemerember Journal-Making Season" with you & Luise. Every year you and Luise come up with so many unique and fun ideas for us to try out in our journals. This year was no exception. I always learn new things by watching and trying out products and/or materials that I've never explored before. This December was incredibly busy for me, so I am grateful that you have a "playlist" for us and have given everyone the opportunity to get the freebies well into January. This will greatly help those of us who want to craft along in January to complete our journals. I, for one, really appreciate that aspect of this year's Dephemerember. Barbara, I loved this year's DEPHEMEREMBER, it was the best one yet with introduction of Ephy and all the cute digitals and stories told during your prompts. This is my first year doing the prompts even though I'm behind. The one thing that could be improved for next year is to give Ephy a companion!! Thank you for everything you do, watching you and Luise, I'm definitely thinking outside the box and growing creatively.
Thank you both so much for inventing Dephemerember. I’ve watched and created with you all three years. I’ve learned so much and enjoyed traveling down the junk journal road with you. As we cannot travel because of extreme health problems, I love being able to visit far away places with you. Seeing your part of the world and being able to understand the language. By watching you create and try new products I have been braver to try new things, some work, ha ha, and some need even more creativity to make them acceptable. Very few things end up in the garbage. Love the process of creating with you and Luise. Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing yourself with us.

This has been an amazing series - it feels more like a University offering than UA-cam, in that I learned sooo many techniques and ideas from watching. Both yours and Luise's spontaneous and adventurous personalities added so much to the quality of this month long offering. Ephy was a sweet surprise, he grew on me! Hi Barbara. I love the letters on top. Dephemerember takes me way out of my comfort zone. I have made some things that have surprised myself. Things I didn’t know I had in me. It has caused me frustration and also how to have patience. I have had to do things over and make mistakes. Something, as a perfectionist, that has driven me crazy. Dephemerember is an awesome teaching tool, and the best part is, none of us are alone . Thank you for an amazing experience. I hope we can do this again next year. ❤😊

I'm one of those "enthusiastic " viewers. I never seem to be able to squeeze in much crafting in December, although I do make and send about 35 Christmas cards . You and Luise are 2 of my favorite you tubers. I hope you have a happy, healthy, craft filled 2024.
Dear Barbara thank you so much for the time and Joy and funny "crazyness" you put into this year's Dephemerember ! I only watched the previous editions and had the time to participate this year. It helped me forgot the uselessness that was inside me, brought me back some acomplishment feelings and made me realize how hard , even though rewarding, it is to create almost every with a prompt !... and I didn't even have to edit a UA-cam video😅
I thought promts were a lot more challenging this year compared to the previous years but I enjoyed that there were days off to have time to work on them.
Hope there will be another one in 2024 !!!

I think, for me, the not every day prompts have been good. Time to catch up, time to just be inspired and enjoy. My brain has gotten creativity sparks, even with the nasty cold I have now, or being tired after work. My plan is to create something of my own for every prompt, and then get inspiration from you and Luise. Thick journal, for sure, but so worth it! I’ve watched all the videos, what great inspiration. Although I didn’t make a journal, I did make a big tag inspired by the Salvaged Birds prompt, using a vintage postcard fussy cutting the hand painted bird with real feathers. It sits on a shelf in my office and it brings me so much joy! Not just the joy of creating the tag, but the memory of going on a road-trip with my husband and finding the postcard in an antique store.
Barbara, you and Luzia started this series with Erie, I love him. That is the cutest character I’ve seen. OMG, additionally there have been so many touching moments with him that have moved me so much. Not to mention your stories for many of the prompts. You are so creative and genuine, amazing qualities in a person. Every year I look forward to this exciting adventure you take us through, thank you so much, not sure you know how much you give to others by doing this even if it’s just for one month. Thank you

I think this DEPHEMEREMBER has been my favorite of the 3 years. Your interaction with little EPHY really made his come alive for me and added so much fun! You shared so many ideas. I was inspired to try several in my own personal journal. I know it's a lot of work, but thank you so much for sharing your time and talents! The breaks over the weekends was a nice idea and gave everybody a chance to catch up. On the page you did today, I especially like the little journal and the fact that you added the name of FRIDA to the page. Dephemerember has been a time that I have given myself to just sit back and relax and enjoy the amazing creativity that both you and Luise share with us. It is my "me time", the gift I gave myself this year. I always enjoy it, but giving myself permission to take this time each day and enjoy it has been very valuable for me in a very busy season of my life. Thank you so much.

How fun this month is, how much I enjoying it, every day! How you do, what you make, how you react and how much time you put into this! It shows in everything! I have loved each of the three Dephemerember you and Luise have done. This one has been so much fun with Ephy’s participation. I have been busy in December finishing off a junk journal for a gift but I have managed to watch all the videos. Now I am going to rewatch them all and make my Ephy journal and ephemera. For the past few years, Dephemerember has kinda been a(n almost) daily companion to count down to Xmas and the year. Like daily treat and dose of creative inspiration. The papers you designed were beautiful and fun to work with. I had fun making the little Ephy and the fabric and glue container for scraps. The poem about junk journal friends was very touching. I really enjoy watching your creative process. It inspires me in my own process.
Thank you Barbara for making me feel every emotion during Dephemerember. You’ve made me laugh. You’ve made me cry. You’ve totally kept me entertained. I’m a little sad it’s over but the great thing about your videos is that I can watch them over and over. I’m legally blind so I don’t create much but between you and Luise I am so inspired to make my own little Ephy journal throughout January. Dear Barbara! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Like your other videos, the Dephemerember 2023 series is a source of inspiration, it certainly sparks the creative juices in all of us and keeps whispering to us: try something, do something, create, experience, test yourself... The best part is that you honestly say when something is not going well and bravely show your feelings. I also really like the fact that you always emphasise: you don't need to have these materials, explore with what you have. Your You Tube channel is a source of inspiration for me and I hope that one day I will have the courage to film some of my own creations. It takes real courage to expose yourself to the whole world.
