Useful video. However, I’d make 2 comments. Firstly I’d argue that none of the bolts should be anything other than finger tight until the whole assembly is in place (a ratchet ring spanner could be used to tighten the ones on the sides of the vehicle), that would eliminate the need for all the hammering to get the steps on. Secondly, on a job like this everything should have a dab of copper grease in case it needs to come off at some stage in the future.
my partner fitted these steps last week thank goodness for this video was a huge help otherwise it would of been a struggle. grateful to the people that take the time to do these things to help. thank you
Why the fuck would anyone dislike this video? Informative, helpful, down to earth and no dodgy music playing in the background. Not attempted this yet but definitely saved 👍🏻
There are a few reasons people would dislike the video.... 1- Its filmed on our old camera with a bit shake 2- There are no pretty girls 3- My jumper is offensive to look at 4- They dont have a Freelander 2 5- They are my competitors 6- They pressed the wrong thumb thingy by mistake.
Excellent Video. I brought these running boards off EBay and the instructions were rubbish to try and work out. This video was very easy to watch and I was able to fit the boards just following the video 10/10 thank you
Great video, slow and steady. I agree with some comments, like only finger tighten the bolts until everything is fitted. But I found everything I needed from this. Thanks for taking the time.
Hi - great glad it helped - its not quick but its straight forward enough !.... now time for more accessories.... www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/land-rover/freelander-2.html
I’ve just fitted mine recently but the middle brackets at the back never lined up with the front ones on both sides it’s about an inch off alignment, they’re all in the right places number wise but wondering if I should swap number 2 and 5 around, any ideas?
W9black Tiger I had to use a different boot hole for the middle bracket to cill as it was a millions miles away but just be careful as the door will rub the step
0:16 just wondering are these clips there when you take them off originally? I bought some side boards from a wrecker and am missing some of the clips, so I was just wondering are the clips there when I remove the panels to cut the holes Thank you
The clips should be there on the original car - they are 2 part clips I think its these www.powerfuluk.com/yellow-white-plastic-wheel-arch-door-moulding-clips-for-land-rover-freelander-2-10-pack.html
@@L663 can you remove them with the ever so handy removal tool, the wreckers gave me some that they took off of the car with the side boards but no little yellow bit on them (mushroom) like bit they are lonely the same as the white ones on your site but black
