Great way to explain it. I explain flooding in a similar way. Imagine being scared of spiders and your therapist locks you in a room full of them and then expects you to calm down. Even if you eventually stop screaming, your going to be traumatised. The same can be said for our dogs.

That’s a fantastic way to describe flooding! You may “appear” calm by the end, but your fears have certainly not been improved.
