The way Charlie describes the touch and feel and smell of actually holding the physical record .. being able to read the liner notes .. who they thank and admire .. inside jokes and gear they use and abuse .. stuff like that is what you did as a kid when you got a new record .. obsessing over it and living in it .. Becoming part of it .. so Thank You for putting the time and effort into these for those of us that still do get hard copy’s .. Thank You for this entire series 🤘🏼☠️🤘🏼
Amen my friend! I couldn't have said it better! Thank you!
I absolutely connected with that part of the video. I said “yes” out loud while sitting on the train and watching this.
This is funny to me. I have old records that just smell old and musty. Straight out of the attic smell.
*"Don't call it a come back, we've been here for years"* -LL Cool J- Scott Ian
I'm rocking my peers putting suckers in fear!
I saw Anthrax for the first time in a skating rink and York Pennsylvania in early 1986, I followed them ever since. Love this band! This is the greatest docu-series any band has ever put out! Thank you anthrax! For all that you've done, what you doing right now! And what you will do in the future! Can't wait
Charlie is 100% spot on with how music makes you feel. Nothing can replace that experience putting on album and taking it all in.
What an amazing record. I remember my local shop had this on display 3 days before it’s release so I snagged it early and was like a kid in a candy shop listening to this for 3 days before everyone else ha ha ha.
Also my band were lucky enough to be main support for the Bradford Rios show on this tour. We were terrible that night. My worst gig ever in fact 😂😂😂 but I always remember being star struck when the guys walked by and completely didn’t ask for a photo. What an idiot and something I still regret. Rob hung around after the gig which was ace. Really nice guy. Of course Anthrax we’re immense that night. I got to watch them soundcheck black lodge and 1000 points of hate. I’ll take that with me to the grave 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This Album gives the band another kick ... but it kicked us as well ! Killer album !
great album, i especially love the 3 minute drum solo, aka nobody knows anything, good shit
Charlie in Fire!
Every time I hear it I think “that’s impossible”. The fastest funky beat ever!
Charlie - I watched the show last night, and I have to say it was PHENOMENAL. Please pass along my compliments to the whole gang, but most importantly, thanks to all of you for putting on the show.
Weve come for you all and music for mass destruction were the albums that bought me back to anthrax , when they fired joey i walked away , i just couldnt get into the new sound , im so pleased things turned full circle and joey is back and the last two albums are some of the best thrash metal full stop .
All the metal band Anthrax is the most authentic
Miss Dimebag so much... brillant work he did on this album . Brillant as every time
My favorite series on UA-cam!
WCFYA in my opinion was the best album with Bush, it's a banger from beginning to the end.
Excellent great documentary of Anthrax🤘😈🤘💪🥁💪 #anthrax, @charliebenante, @scottian. @Frankbello, @JohnBush, and friends.
Keanu 👍🏼
Great dude!
This album FUCKIN' RULES.
Easily in my top three Anthrax records. It was also neat that my review of WCFYA was published on their website. Big fanboy moment for me.
Holy shit!!! All these years and I’ve never known that about the “pentagram” emblem that they hid an A in there and positioned it just right!!! This is awesome content!
This is such an amazing album! Brought my faith in Metal back.
Terrific album. It felt like a Mission Statement album to me.... but ended up being the last full-length album of original music from this lineup. After this, there's the self-covers album (which I loved... raunchy, angry production -- a studio-quality live album), and then a period of fascinating history. What prompted the 2005 tour with Joey and Danny? And then the turbulent period of "who's going to be the singer", then Dan Nelson, then not Dan Nelson..... and finally the full-time return of Joey. Stuff I'm dying to hear stories about .... but it looks like that may all be skipped.
Frank's t-shirt is savage!
All shall hail
Great Album, no doubt.
I was SO happy when it came out and found out, it was so strong!🤘🏼
Charlie agree with you about owning an actual album and experiencing all the complete package has to offer, but streaming is also a great and convenient way to experience music - I enjoy and like both in different scenarios. With that in mind can you please see about getting We've Come For You All, Stomp, and The Greater of Two Evils added to Australia Spotify? They are the only Anthrax albums missing. We've Come For You All has to be a top 3 Anthrax album for me and loving this UA-cam series by the way.
I keep saying this, but We Come 4 You All is easily up there with Spreading, Among, and White Noise 👍
Anthraxxxxxxxxx!!!
I would have liked to hear about the time spent on the recording of The Greater of Two Evils.
Same here! I voted every day for like a month online picking which songs they would do! And they picked 25 or 50 people to watch them record it live also. I was so pissed i didnt win.lol
I really loved that one. I listen to it regularly.
I remember reading in music magazine that they said this was best album since Sounds of White Noise. And I remember getting mad. Cause Vol 8 was killer album. I did send an email to Anthrax and told them this. And someone did reply thank you for saying that. Or something to that extent.
Wtf ? I had no idea John wick was in an anthrax video.
Next episode is Worship Music? You guys are going to skip Greater of two Evils? Bummer.
my guess is they missed a lot of episodes when they missed their original monday/wednesday/friday schedule since the state of euphoria vids, leaving only 1 vid for worship, 1 for kings, and then the livestream concert
@@trollfacelotsofshit Nothing about the reunion! The Big 4! Nothing about Dan Nelson or Corey Taylor! And no episodes for Anthems!
@@WhyTheHorseface Scott really skirted the Dan Nelson issue in his book too. He references the Wikipedia article and was completely mum about it after that. Let sleeping dogs lie, I guess.
@@cletusvandamme3048 yeah i mean, dan nelson stayed less time on the band than greg walls
Will there be anything about the planned tour with Bush and Joey? Anything about the reunion with Joey and Danny? The Big 4? Anything about Dan Nelson or Corey Taylor? An episode for Anthems? So much Anthrax to cover! I love these much more than the KISStory special. That was basically done better in Extreme Close-Up and the Kissology box sets (which they should reissue). Thanks for these videos, Anthrax!
Keanu 👍
SUCH a good fucking album
I hate this fact that Anthrax has been through so many different lead vocalist Joey is my favorite but I also like John bush
I love We’ve Come for You All! I wish the accoustic version of Safe Home was more widely available because I think it’s as good if not better than the regular version.
When your as good as Charlie on the drums, how does he challenge himself these days. Dude can play anything
Awesome album really heavy songs🤘🏻
CB really shines on this one as always 🤘🏻
Where did Frank get that shirt?!!
Love this album. Liner notes and tour pics were always the way to figure out what gear the band used pre internet. Charlie is def responsible for my obsession with Tama Artstar 2 and Granstar drums. He always had killer setups and one of the first dudes to trigger and mic his kit live. Charlie is under rated as fuck in so many ways.
We honest with you guys man you guys look like you were viewing from Slayer with that 5 point star
Nice LL quote Scott!🤘
Fantastic album. Saw this tour in Melbourne with Killswitch Engage. Pity Joey doesn't sing many of these songs live...
Charlie, y’all need to release studio footage, any video of you recording. Like McTallica did.
Am I the only one who wants a tour with Joey and Jonh as co-singers*? The Bush era was so damn good imo, I'm missing it a lot.
Personally.. as much as an Anthrax fan as I am.. Bush simply didn't do it for me. When Joey came back... all was right in the universe.
Co-siNGers, sure. Co-siGNers, not so much.
@@TavisAllen haha auto correct at is best...
@@MrJayLaroche The asterix is a nice touch.
We gonna get some Dan Nelson in the next video? Was really disappointed with his short tenure, thought he had potential
Bro, someone is blocking this from being played in some countries.
Please correct me if I’m wrong and don’t get me wrong, I love Anthrax, I really do and I do own cassettes , and Vinyl s but am I the only one that I noticed it that the speed and trash sounds of the guitar 🎸 are missing or probably is just me , sorry I am not trying to offend anyone! Thanks
Is that Scott's wife in the background? Lol
