He was, in 2016. He was sentenced to six years, served half, was released on remand with some very strict conditions which ended in 2023 and he immediately went back to spouting hate speech and harmful rhetoric.

28 years not long enough
Jesus, just be happy he's got this long. I can't think of many "non violent" offenders who've got to serve 28 years.
When he leave he would be 87 years that’s if he gets to live up to that age in there

Good for the government! Standing up to these people takes a lot of courage in todays climate. All Muslims should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for not publicly denouncing him!!! It shows they support him!!!
i'm shocked that our government even had the spine to do this in the first place, but i'm not surprised it took a ridiculous amount of time for anyone to do anything about this failure of a man.
