PROMISE taken from the album ORGANISATION, Sorry about the video but I could'nt find one for it.Small clips inserted of omd concert june 2007 southend. (It was a good night)
Yeah, thanks, you hit the nail on the head. Some weird creatures running through some strange land if I remember correctly. Probably an old chzech kids movie or something, but absolutely caught the theme of the song pefectly. I also remember it was followed by Colin Newman's "B" in the same programme, which was also amazing.
Early OMD was the best!!! Where have I heard a similar bassline to the one in this track? Could it perhaps be a re-arrangement of Ryan Paris track La Dolce Vita or did he copy OMD?
@TechnoEstate ehh? if you think this sounds like fade to grey then you must think all 80s electro bands sound the same, and then i just feel plain sorry for you
My all-time favourite OMD album track. I also like The Boy From The Chemist Is Here to See You from the brilliant Universal album. Thanks for posting Promise anyway.
Brilliant song so pleased others are discovering how good OMD are and that there are more gems in their back catalogue if you dig......enjoy the ride
Oh my God... I was 15 then in 1980 ... 35 years ago!.
Wooow! What a song! .I Love it,I Love the OMD from their early four albums...especially ORGANISATION, Statues, Yeaaaah!
Some of the best sounds- quasi off key but converging into tune= genius. I'll never get tired of the intro.

Probably the best OMD song...Amazing!!
infectious bass riffs galore. love it!
