The Maize Trust: Teboho Mongoato

Teboho Mongoato has been farming in the Matatiele area for 12 years. He farms with sheep, cattle, maize, sugar beans and soya and he attempted to get into farming wheat. We get to know the farmer in our Maize Trust series and hear from trustee Zovuyo Ngejane.

To be honest, most of our Black farmers are not ready for farming. Most are failing badly in the industry. They show no passion. Most are in it for money 💰. The government is also failing us with lack of monitoring and failing to supply farmers with basic needs to operate a farm 🚜. Chasing out Real farmers will cripple this country. Lets learn from them instead of chasing them out
