Hi @SterlingNoren. What kind of mount are u using for your monopod attachment, and what's that rubber strap at the bottom? Thanks for your help and for all your work. HOLA DESDE BAJA CALIFORNIA..!
Your work is so underrated, can;t believe more people don't watch. Your montana video was really inspiring and made me get a mini ADV 390.
Glad to hear it!
I'm with AJ; Sterling is a master cinematographer, editor, rider, chef, narrator, and above all, a skilled storyteller. Nobody captures the natural splendor of America like Sterling does, especially with a drone.
I am super certain that this series will become a bible for motocampers!
@SterlingNoren
I wanna blame you somehow...may i?
Imma add your content to the pile of underrated and underviewed UA-cam videos.
You've probably done this by now, but his whole channel is fantastic. These adventure series specifically are really incredible watches. Love your content too.
Sterling is a master of static frames ... He knows his frames well ... And he also knows his music well...
Hey Sterling - boy oh boy!!!! Your new solo series is going to launch me into a awesome head space over the next coming months. Very much admire your creativity in filming and editing. Thank you for all that you put into this. btw - you must really love those riding gloves.
Yeah, lol... they're my favorites!
This is my second time taking this adventure with you. Your videos never grow old. I hope to be on the two-wheeled road mirroring many of your haunts on this last trip of yours.
Thanks so much for the many quiet smiles I absorb
Peace
Need a quick video of you purchasing a new pair of gloves. Can't wait to take this journey with you!
I love this Sterling! Quick UA-cam suggestion, you can have the next video come up at the end of all of these. This makes it really easy for people to keep watching and binge the series. Go to your UA-cam studio and click the "edit" button on a video. Click "end screen" and you can add a video and choose which video you want to pop up (choose the next video in the series). Great job on this! Cheers!
Hello Sterling. We have many things in common: SAME AGE, A BIG MOTORCYCLE AND I AM GOING TO RECORD MY TRIP LIKE YOU, FOR MY UA-cam CHANNEL. The difference is that I am going to do it from Madrid, 🇪🇸 Spain,by plane to New York with my motorcycle and from there to Canada and back. About 20,000 KMS IN ABOUT 80 DAYS! Beginning next May😜So thanks for your videos that have helped me make my own adventure.
Wow, good luck and have a great trip!
Dear Sterling, I live in tiny Switzerland and I’ve been watching your channel for some time now, especially your “Riding Solo” series. You are a big inspiration to me and the main reason why I have started riding my bike on longer camping and adventure trips through Europe. The US and Canada are of course very high on my bucket list! Your insights, your awesome filming, photography and storytelling style, your cooking, what kind of equipment you use; all this has laid the groundworks for my own trips (I even ordered the firebox stove …). Thank you very much for sharing all of this in a very sympathetic and entertaining way! Please keep going and sharing - you’re doing a fantastic job. Best regards from Switzerland, Frank
Thank you so much Frank. I'm glad to hear that you have found some motivation and passion to go out on your own adventures. Cheers!
Living the dream 😀
Sterling
Thank you for the FIX! I needed this one badly. Epic as usual and I can't wait for the adventure to unfold as only you can present it. I can't wait to visit Jonquil.
Ride SAFE and BE safe Sir!
Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it!
No wonder you were not home when we stopped by your motel early June lol. My wife and I stopped by on our way up to Prudhoe Bay. Looking forward to this series!
Top class work, some of the best I watch
Great intro to what is going to be an epic ride - can’t wait for the series 👍
The start up sound of the gs is Money! I always enjoy your work, it inspires me to keeping riding my 01 gs 1150..if you’re ever up 93 north of salmon idaho we have a spot where you can pitch and cook..
Buffalo Bill
“Scouts Out”
This is Must Watch UA-cam. Most videos have a lot of stuff I like and some stuff I don't. This series has everything I love - trip planning, riding, camping, cooking, natural scenery, outback historical information, video production.... I anxiously await each episode. Thank you so much for these videos. Each is a gorgeous gift. You inspire me not only to ride, and take longer rides with camping, but also to document my trips even though my video skills are a joke compared to your artistry. The timing of this series is ideal. Spring is here. It's time to ride!
Thank you! I hope that you enjoy the series as it unfolds!
This planet is so incredibly photogenic, and your talent at framing and capturing it just keeps getting better. The way you work with natural light inspires me to think more before I press the shutter button.
By the time the Touratech logo has finished displaying, I'd already hit the line button. Super stoked for this trip!
1:40 such a spectacular and brilliant shot you made there!
No Way !! From Arizona and where do you roll through ? My home town in Bamfield BC ! 😂
This should be a great series. Let’s go !!!!
Really looking forward to this! Truly inspiring.
So glad!
I look forward to another epic cinema graphic series as always. I feel part of a special group that gets to share in this. Truly you should have 500K subscribers.
So looking forward to seeing this. Best motorcycle travel channel on UA-cam. Thanks for taking us along Sterling!
I'm really excited for this series! That monopod mounted to the pannier is an ingenious idea!
Very much looking forward to this Sterling thank you….Regards from the UK
You are very welcome
Man, it’s been really hard waiting for this series to come out but I get it, you simply can’t rush perfection. Keep ‘em coming, Sterling. You’re an inspiration in more ways than one. Thank you!!
Thank you Bill - Glad you're along for the ride!
Now that you've teased us with your map @ 2:03, I can hardly wait to your series to start! Go man go! Thank you again from Canada!!
Thank you Canada! Everyone was so friendly!
Just found your channel and binged the first riding solo series, now im gonna watch this one. You do so good with your cinematography and your filming style really reminds me of les stroud and survivorman, from how you film stuff to not shying away form showing the reality of adventure motorcycling.
Sterling your stuff is “next level”. Im tuned in bud 👌🏻🏍
Filming yourself setting up a camera shot is some next level videography I love it! Cant wait to see how the trip turns out! Im planning on doing BC to Ushuaia next october over 6 months on my trusty DR650, you give me lots of inspiration for filming my adventures!
now that's an epic trip!
Good luck! That's an epic ride!!
I’m so happy to hear about this new series. Three weeks is my longest tour, so I’m really looking forward to living vicariously through your trip. Can’t wait!
Well, let the adventure begin. 👍👍⭐
Look forward to watching the entire series 👍
I love the long trips and for now, can only dream of 53 days solo. Like you, I like to ride solo. Thanks for taking us along.
What a fantastic intro Sterling, well done, can't wait for this series!! 👍👍
Great video. They landscape in US is amazing. I wish I am 25 years younger and had money to ride the US. btw the Pepsi is the best biker ever (love mine)
I love your channel. Thank you for sharing it with us. You really inspire me to get out more! Thank you
What a great intro, I'm looking forward to this serries.
All I have to say is...... WOW! Amazing ride, amazing documentation, I wish I could do this. You are amazing!
Not only are your videos, and especially your longer trips, something I really look forward to watching, they are the inspiration for my own trips. I too ride solo, so it is very easy to imagine myself in your spot as you're traveling and making these great videos! I really appreciate the tremendous effort you put into filming because I know it is a huge amount of work to capture your trips in the way that you do. Thank you!
Thanks, glad to be the force of inspiration! Hope you have many good riding adventures!
Fun to have this series in winter 2023! I’m happy this series popped up, even though you started posting several weeks ago… not sure about the UA-cam algorithms.
I am so excited for this new YT series of Riding Solo! Sterling, thanks in advance for sharing your travel adventures.
Your work is awesome. Recently purchased my 61st motorcycle, a 2015 R1200RT. I am a bit more restricted at 69 but your work inspires me to ride more.... Like I did in my youth. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you!
Shame eva is not going,,she adds so much entertainment to your vids…….
Yeah, its always good sharing the adventure with her but sometimes a good solo ride is its own reward too!
It's sort of crazy of me in a way, because I've taken motorcycle trips and enjoy getting out there and being in the wind and experiencing the universe all around me, but I think I almost enjoy these adventure videos that you produce, Sterling nearly as much because of what your eye picks up that ends up being content.
I get that the drone can give the rest of us a different view, but it's more than that. We ALL can live the life vicariously, and see the natural world we have.
It's much appreciated....
@@merlestadnyk It really is, and I get such great vibes from Sterling and Eva's videos too. The series they did in Baja was so much fun to watch. The little coastal eateries and camping, plus the unique north central Baja desert area with all the rocks was something I'd never seen before. To me North America has SO much diversity from one area to the next, and Sterling is doing such a great job of offering an adventurers perspective of the west.
I retired a few years ago, and although my resources aren't unlimited, more and more I'm realizing how little I need and how much I can see on what I have to use.
Currently I have a Yamaha FJR1300a, but I see the benefit of having a machine that'll take me on the interstate, or the dirt roads of Baja.
I can't wait till the time that I can book a room at their motel for a base to explore Arizona. I definitely want to buy Sterling and Eva a glass of wine or two in gratitude for what they both give me in enjoyment from their channel. Two wonderfully creative people with adventurous spirits.......
Thank you so much! It means a lot to us to hear this. Cheers!
Sterling! You’re an inspiration man! Beautiful work.
I aspire to get to your level of filming and story telling.
You sharing your filming techniques, styles, cameras, etc. is going to be priceless valuable information for me. Thank you very much!
Can’t wait for the next episode. Could you release them, one everyday 😂
Cheers from BC 🇨🇦👍🏻
CRITTER !!!
We need to convince him to come back to BC for a presentation/talk on his work. Would love to invite some of the youtubers to BC... including yourself for gathering!!!
@@backyardnbeyondadv that would be great!
Hello Sterling. I'm from Indonesia. Going riding in your country and South America always in my dream. Right now your vlog already fulfilled my dream.. ❤️❤️
Watched your 30 day trip and enjoyed each episode. Safe travels. Looking forward to following along this journey. 👍🏽
Enjoy your trip. And we will enjoy your cinematic work. Have a safe and unforgettable ride. Greetings from Germany.
Love the 53, 53, 53! It was destiny!! Lol! Great stuff as usual!
Very, very exited for these serie to come! The scenery are absolutely mind blowing, can't wait!
Cant wait for this series, you’re probably the best motorcycle- related filmmaker around right now. Thank you for sharing
Awesome! Looking forward to watch this journey 🙌🏼 great video🤙🏼
Just came across your channel while watching a video from the U K. I'm currently 70 and have always enjoyed moto traveling and camping on RS's and S's. Always learning from fellow BMW riders. Just liked and subscribed. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Welcome aboard!
Excellent idea to include the photography angle. Apart from the outstanding footage, this educational component will keep at least me coming back!
We've waiting for you man, thank you...
More to come!
Sterling, this looks spectacular. There is so much content these days, but I believe you just hollowed out a nice big nugget of specific Moto travel tech know how. The mono pod on the bike is genius. So much better than the 360 camera people use to get that shot and the multi-use is outstanding. see you on ep:02
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos, thank you for sharing your experience as a filmmaker, it is very useful for all of us who like to do this type of motorcycle trip. I carry out, many ideas that you have shared with us in my videos. Greetings from Argentina!
Thank you Nacho!
Hah! - I was watching full-screen, totally taken in, and was so surprised when it ended. I can't wait to see more!
Excited for this next series Sterling! I love all of your content, but Riding Solo is just so unique. It is so immersive, I literally feel like I am along for the ride. I especially like how you incorporate cooking and filming into your videos, with some instruction on how you do it and what you use. It's inspired me to try some of the same things and has made riding that much more enjoyable, so thank you! Can't wait for this series to drop and thanks again for the effort to create it.
I’m jealous. I just can’t get away more than a few days. Can’t wait to see more. Your work is great.
I’m really excited you started a new series. Really loved your precious solo ride. I always watch all the video’s from start to finish. You are great at storytelling and making immersive cinematic films and they really inspire me of planning my big bucket list ride. Ride safe!
Hey Sterling - boy oh boy!!!!
So glad you plan to talk about the film making. Thank you for your content, always top notch!
The monopod rig is genius!
I love your videos. I am an avid hiker and I am doing exactly the same thing you are doing but everything having on my back. I can totally understand creative part and filming obsession. New thing is that I've bought motorcycle and I plan to do adv bike camping videos with my Himalayan :) I wish you all the best and hopefully we shall meet some day in the back country of Arizona which I plan to hike thru. Cheers.
Looking forward to it.
Best moto vlogger EVER. Always enjoy all of your videos. Thanks for all you do Sterling 🙏
Appreciate that!!!
Your videos always inspire. I'm eager to getting some riding in. Thanks for the great content. I look forward to this series.
Awesome! Thank you!
Your edit, story telling and footage is AMAZING!
Looking forward to this. Best of luck👍
Thanks 👍
Looking forward to more of your exceptional and awesome videography. My dad and I,here in South Africa really love watching you and it is our only way that we can tour your lovely country. I fully agree with A J. have a Blessed and safe trip
Thank you very much!
Sterling I’m so stoked about this series! I can’t wait to see how you actually set up for the footage you get. I hope you talk some about how you set up your drone shots as well. I try with my little DJI Mini 2 but never ends up quite like I hoped and had envisioned.
Hello 🙋🏻♂️ Thanks for all these details. I always watch your episodes with interest. But now, I think there are going to be really interesting episodes coming. 😁🤝
You are a true professional filmmaker. You are very interesting to listen to. Thank you very much for these beautiful pictures
Thank you Alain!
I just stumbled over your channel and I am in awe of your take on a long motorcycle journey.
For me, planning a week long trip is stressful, but once I am on the road, I can leave all stress behind me and just focus on the road ahead.
I imagine this is probably very different for you because you still have to think about filming and looking for nice places to stop at.
Many thanks for your work and taking us with you on this epic trip!
Welcome aboard!
I`m envious Sterling. You are doing something that I love to do as much as you do, but I`ve gotten too old now. I`ll just have to watch you do it for both of us now. Stay safe!
My pleasure!!!
Can't wait!
Really enjoyed your first Solo series and can't wait for this one.
Oh heck yeah, Sterling! Another bunch of videos from one of your awesome trips. I am so looking forward to viewing your adventures and every day life on the road. Your videos are of the highest quality, and sometimes you barely even talk during the episode. I love it! Thank you for sharing your life on the road. I bet Eva would like to go with but I know there be other trips. You are the man! Keep it up, and be safe.
I’m very excited for the BTS stuff about making videos. I probably watch more camera / filming videos then moto videos these days! lol I really like that monopod mount. I need to look into this!!
Hey Sterling. Glad you are back. Looking forward to watching your new series.
You the man!! Home run 🏃♀️ again!!
So glad you’re back on the road. Love your filmmaking
This is gonna be ANOTHER great series to post up on. Safe travels in your journey to all those prepping for their own weekend getaway no matter how far or wide. This cat just has that "magic" we could all use to better ourselves on our next adventure.
I watch you other long trip .... So, naturally I am looking forward to this NEW VENTURE as well !!!! Ride safe .....
Wow the scenery looks amazing already, cant wait to tag along
We are the same age, and I see a lot of gear you have that are exactly the same as i use my setup in Korea including the GS-I have a 2003 and a 2020GSA. The footage of your BMW airflow gloves cracked me up since that has been my goto summer gloves for almost 20yrs and I'm on my 6th or 7th pair of those. Thank you for sharing your wonderful rides.
Really excited for this series. No one captures the day to day of motocamping like you do.
Looking forward to seeing your latest adventure Sterling. I first came across the channel when a colleague recommended Solo Riding and I thoroughly enjoyed watching that series. The camping/cooking along with first class cinematography makes it very exciting to watch. UK Mark
Awesome, thank you! Enjoy the videos, lots to come!
The first thing that jumped out at me was your excellent visuals and the second was your thoughtful commentary. Excellent. You're like itchy dude. :P
Love it!
Just saw Kinga's video where you were mentioned. Now I'm hooked into your series. Thanks for taking us along, Günter, Nürnberg/Germany
Welcome aboard!
I look very much forward to see those episodes, and l am especially exited to see where you talk about the film making aspects of your trip. When l saw your first episode less than two years ago, I had just taking up riding after not being in the saddle for many years. The film making got my attention and I really liked seeing when you were setting up your camping gear, starting the camp fire and cooking. At first l felt that you had too much gear, but now l have moast of it, all down to the little table an the cutting board 😊
So excited to see where you went and to share your trip with us!
Looking forward to the series! Especially the how to film etc. When I grow up, I'm going to be just like you!
O Canada, why does your winter have to be so long? I can't wait to get back out there moto-camping. Thanks for your excellent work Sterling. You're definitely achieving your goal of providing interesting, beautiful quality videos for us.
Looking forward to watching Sterling!
Some great filmwork in your teaser already. Because of one joint 35 years ago I've been deemed a threat to the United States National security and have never been able to travel there, so it's nice to see that part of the world through another bike travelers videos.
Sharing your videography techniques and giving us ideas and tips will be interesting. Thx Sterling. I look forward to watching the series.
