Hank! So much for the gloves lol who needs em haha! I need to change the two fuel filter on my Kubota BX! I need to overhaul the whole fluid system oil, hydro, trans, etc... haha! My Kubota has both filters underneath haha yayyy I get to roll around in the dirt hahah thanks for sharing! Maintenance per hours I think depends honestly... for instance 200 hours of bushhogging at high rpms vs 200 hours of just maybe some light box blade work I just do my maintenance just before the intervals. Its relatively cheap enough so I like doing it before I hit the hour mark. Also throw the O rings in the ammo can you have there! you never know if the o rings might fail ( made in china) so at least youll have em on the machine! Thanks for sharing!

Nice maintenance repair! And yes, scheduled maintenance (possibly more) is very important for equipment longevity. That primer bulb is a nice feature, I have to crack the fitting open at the injector pump to bleed off the air on mine.

The first filter you changed can be put back on without filling it. Just turn the fuel back on and leave the top bolt a little loose. Fuel will fill the filter and come out the top when full.

Hello sir I just changed the filter on my mahindra 4550 and when I put back the water separator sensor it started to leak I'm wonder if maybe there was an o ring or gasket on your sensor that I might have lost because it wasn't leaking before?

I have a question, u filled the 2nd filter then installed it. Then you installed the water sensor? Doesn't the filter pour fuel out the bottom with the water sensor not installed? Great video as usual. You are about 100 hrs ahead of me so I get to follow you in each service! I was thinking you had to bless a fitting going out of the filter to get all the air out. Obviously not! Thanks man

I think you seen me just reconnecting the wire to it. The actual sensor does get put back onto the filter before you fill it. Check out the 12:18 mark

I tend to stick as close as possible to the manufacturers recommended interval with the exception of if I'm close and winter is coming up, I'll do it sooner so I'm not out there freezing my fingers off in the middle of a NH winter trying to get it done.

Check to see if you’re supposed to pre fill a filter for a certain application. If you choose to do it, try and fill it from the outside. The outside of a filter is the dirty side from the tank and it floats to the middle. Then the couple ounces of fuel you added gets the chance to be filtered. This is especially important because your fuel system is opened up and there’s plenty of opportunity to get dirt in there no matter how hard you try. . Nice work but keep that in mind next time.A tip to make that easier is if you ever need to pick up hydraulic hoses or motors or anything keep those dust caps and you can just stick them in the holes then you can go and not have to aim too hard.Take a look here for a good explanation. ua-cam.com/video/P6MLDH0zTpw/v-deo.html Have a good day

HELP! I got both filters changed and pre-filled the filled them and, praise the Lord!! it started right up! BUT now there is a leak at the top of the first fuel filter that is held on by a bolt. Fuel is weeping out between the bolt head and the housing and dripping onto the floor!!
Neither of us saw a washer or anything between the bolt and the housing. Is this normal? I recommended the owner get some nylon washers to try and seal it. Diesel is sneaky stuff and I don't know how to stop this leak other than trying to tighten it down more.
