I haunted Corky when I was a teen. He lived in Evanston, Illinois so he played lots of small clubs around and if he was there I was too. Super nice guy when I talked with him. Throughout the 70's. Those were the days!
I met him in around 1984, in Evanston. I had a postdoc at NW and was trying to learn windsurfing. These 2 super nice guys on the shore of Lake Michigan turned into mentors and one turned out to be Corky. Wonderful times. Never heard him play but talked a lot about life and about windsurfing!
@@lopezb Great story, you were blessed! Sorry you never landed in a live gig, good times magical evenings. Here's a clean quality vinyl playlist for your pleasure. Stay frosty! ua-cam.com/video/dtyKywFFb0k/v-deo.html
I LOVE these guys!! My Greatest Hits "Wooden Nickel Years", I've played that CD so much that the back of the CD doesn't even shine anymore. It's SOOO scratched up.
Seen Siegel -Schwall dozens of times since the 70's, Still listen alot, they still appear occasionally, don't miss them if you get another chance. Ask Rollo to sing "Corrina", cosmic blues. Love it.
Fell in love with these guys in the early 70s at Milwaukee’s summerfest
Awesome memories
Same here but med 70s also meet Siegel at hotel friends and I stayed at.
Fun tune. "Say Siegel-Schwall" is still one of my fave records after all these years.
If you can’t cook my hamburger I’ll find someone who will.
@@williamclayton7343 Yeah, but it won't be easy.

My friend's mom had this on 8 track, I was probably 22 round abouts 1983... Tight harp work indeed.
If I could give this two thumbs up, I would.

Where is Sherry?
What key harp?
What's with the audience clapping on 1 and 3?
I just noticed I asked the same question three years ago.
What's with all the clapping on one and three?
