      Thanks man! That would be awesome if you were my neighbor! Secret passages? Come on, dude! My wife certainly approves, even when she’s giving me a hard time about my “bleachers” (the driver stand). She’d prefer they went away but it keeps me around the house and in a good space, so she’s all for it. I sure appreciate you hangin out bro! I’ll let you know when one of my neighbors move out. Lol! Sorry I missed crawling on the rocks. Looking forward to the comps. Oh need a place to film making of mountains? You can help me make mine!

    • @texomarc
      @texomarc  2 роки тому

      I have 100% confidence that you’ll get the deadbolt dialed in. Just takes a little time to understand why it’s not doing what you want and how to fix it. Totally cool that you couldn’t make it but you were missed. As far as mountain building goes, I had the idea to holler at the city about space under an overpass. I want to see if they’d let me build down there and I’ll build something super badass. It would at least be covered year round. Anyway, catch ya later bro! Hope you have a great one!

      @@texomarc hey Josh I’m Zach. Had a question about your shooting/editing process. Seems like lately I’ve notice you may be dubbing in your voice after the filming. Are you filming and driving? What are you filming with generally. I do like the long play format with small editing here and there, I just find I can’t do it as a one man show.

      Hey brother, Yes, I’m filming and driving. I have a Smooth 5 gimbal for my iPhone 13 pro max. It helps a lot! It takes practice, so if it’s something you want to do, you just have to do it and suck for awhile. Film a run and watch your videos back for ideas on how to improve, is it entertaining, what could be done better and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It’s hard, especially when I try to keep any kind of conversation for the video, which is why I most often do the voiceovers. I use my iPad for editing and publishing and it seems to go alright. Does that help? Lol. Thanks for watching bro!

    The CV axles bind on the knuckle (king pin) screws. Those axles also have screws on the end of the axle that bind on rims. I have tried using them in a few builds and gave up. The newer portal axles are really solid with the newer axle shafts and I have these in at least 5 builds.

    I’ve been running the mofo +4mm cvds front and rear on 3s with the regular kamodo and aluminum axle housings from hot racing. I’ve ran into no issues so far and I’ve been running them for about 4 months. I’ve put them through binds and very tight turns against big rocks and have never run into an issue. My servo or steering links usually give out before my cvds so I can attest to the hot racing housings at least! Goodluck with the future cvds you get!

    So I’ve got the mofo plus 4 CVDs in my scythe. I have a mofo brass front axle and a mofo aluminum front axle in the rear. I used a smaller bushing where the knuckles mount to the axle. I have a very small amount of slop in my knuckles. I have not broken a CVD yet. Maybe the smaller king bushing allows the knuckles to move just enough to allow the CVD to flex rather than break. Not sure??? But I haven’t broken one. The only CVD I’ve broken is in my mofo monster truck.

    • @texomarc
      @texomarc  2 роки тому

      The 66t was a great upgrade from stock, smooth and quiet. There are benefits to the pro but it’s not necessarily worth the upgrade if you already have a motor. If you’re in the market, it’s way worth the dollar extra!!! It’s more battery efficient, too. But again, if it’s rolling and it makes you happy, let her rip! Hope you have a great day, bro!

      Same tires on the gladiator and the bronco. Those are the Powerhobby Trail Warriors. Favorite tire to date for performance. Break the stock foams down a little and they’re awesome! Injura is a cool brand and all but I've received a couple parts I couldn't even use due to screw holes beeing off. Maybe that could be ur issue if a screw hole is off puting pressure in a bad spot could cause the issue?

    • @texomarc
      @texomarc  2 роки тому

      I don’t think there’s any errors in the axle housing. That’s not what I was saying. The problem could be simply that the aluminum isn’t flexing to compensate for any binding in the axle itself, which stresses the week points and it breaks in time. The plastic could be flexing, just that little bit, and never developing the stress fracture.

    • @AnthonyAndJanell
      @AnthonyAndJanell 2 роки тому +1

      @@texomarc ah ok . I wonder if there would be a way to do a steel housing with plastic ends so you get the bounce protection the soft spot for the ends and that lill extra waight u wanted with metal. Just a probably bad thought lol. I remember back when I was a kid my father did that for some rc he was building . The main houseing was thick metal but the end knuckles where plastic of some type .

      @texomarc  2 роки тому +1

      @@AnthonyAndJanell
      Nice! We’ll see. Just gotta keep running ‘‘em in the gladiator. The only other thing is the knuckle screws in the aluminum housing get loose and allow for a tiny bit of slop. That slop, combined with the rigidity of the axle could be the problem.

  • @cardboardcrawlersrc8805
