As an American Sikh from Califonia, I rarely get the opportunity to visit India. I always make sure to visit it because in my opinion (heavily biased) it is truly one of the best places in India. I am super glad to see that you guys loved visiting the Golden Temple. I loved the video and thank you for showing it respectfully. There are many Sikh temples (Gurdwara) in California that can also offer serenity and a free meal if you guys are ever interested.

Guys, I believe your Indian friend who was accompanying you in this video was not fully informed about the Golden Temple and Sikhsim. There's no concept of getting your sins washed away by taking a dip in any pond or river, no matter how scared or revered that is. The holy pond around the Golden Temple is full of sacred water, which Sikhs believe is blessed by the Gurus and the positive vibrations created by the constant singing of hymns from Guru Granth Sahib (the holy scripture) which you would have also heard at Golden Temple and by the positivity and devotion that all the devotees bring along. The water in that holy pond is blessed with healing properties for human body. It can not and will not wash away one's sins. Sikhism defines the only way to wash away one's sins is by remembering god all the time, doing good righteous deeds and by sharing everything one has with those who need and are underprivileged. I appreciate that he tried to inform you guys about the place and the culture, but I thought of letting you guys know about what is correct.

The logic he shared about why you "bought" prashad at Golden Temple was also incorrect. There's no wealth in this world with which you can buy "prashad" since it is invaluable. The money you pay there is an offering to the Gurudwara from your side and there's no fixed amount to be paid. You may pay 10 rupees or 1000 rupees, it is totally up to you. And then they take a bit out of what you "bought" as something you're sharing with the universal brotherhood, the humanity.
A very nice vlog of the temple visit. It was truly done peacefully and that comes out in the video. I must also commend your host Abhilash for the low-touch but in his own way very comprehensive way he explained everything and took you through the temple visit and the earlier food tour also. People here saying that accepting deg(parshad) from someone else's hands is unhygienic... I will say don't comment unless you understand everything. A gurudwara is the cleanest and the most hygienic place. Volunteers help there 24/7 by moping, scrubbing every single tile. You can not enter the place without washing your hands and feet.

"The most peaceful crowded place" Is such an apt description of Golden Temple. There's an inherent tranquility to the space, sacred indeed. Korbin has a nack for coming up with unassuming yet very accurate descriptors.

MUSIC WORLD Haha But bro this really works, they shouldn’t feel that you are focussing on yourself, they should feel that the Gurudwara is in focus. Also the fact that filming is allowed like told by Jasmeet above

Jo bole so Nihaal, Sat sri akaal. JAI HIND.
Dear Rick and Korbin I've seen most of your videos but this one truly touched my heart.. many westerners explore the flashy side of India by travelling on ultra luxurious Maharajas express train, staying at luxurious hotels , visiting exotic destinations etc. but you're exploring India in the simplest manner by mingling with the local people, like a commoner , adapting to the local culture, eating with them, talking to them in a simple and humble way which is the best way to experience the real India ... You're awesome!!
You should come in an educational university to celebrate holi...like Panjab university chandigarh..their u ll witness massive massive massive celebration
hey Rick and Korbin, i don't usually comment on the videos but I want to comment here. I'm Sikh and lives in Punjab. i totally agree with you about what you said that this place has a completely different vibe. you know, whenever I visit Golden Temple I feel this instant peace around me which no other place gives despite the fact that there are hundreds of people around you. and I really don't like crowded places because i feel suffocated there. . but this holy place never feels crowded, no matter how many people are there, and it definitely put a smile on my face that you guys experienced it. and i could say we can never get such level of peacefulness anywhere in the world. the moment we enter Golden Temple, we feels like all the worries and all the bad energies around us just disappeared. One should definitely go there to experience this calmness. there is a second fact, since I'm a Sikh, i have been to many sikh temples over the years and had eaten the food, and I always loved lentil because the taste of this lentil is unique. but it is true that no matter how much you try to cook lentil the same way, you never never never never get that taste at home or even in any restaurant because the food prepared in a Sikh Temple has the blessing of the God as that food is prepared in a holy environment where there is continuous reciting of hymns
Have always loved Sikhism for its principles and for giving more value to human life regardless of caste, creed, colour, race, religion. No matter where in the world, but u will always find Sikhs helping and feeding people with whatever they have.💕
You can get this level of peacefulness also in the major temples.... but if you go to odhisa please go to jagannatha temple ..... and just feel it.... also if you go gujrat you ought to go to somnath temple to experience something you possibly never did.... after all it's India..... you would love every major temple here

@@divineknowledgewithkasturi6670 ok I watched it again..but that part is missing when they were handling plates....may be they edited..As many cmntd abt wasting food...
Welcome to India! Glad you could experience the vast serene area, the cute fishes, the white marble, the soothing hyms, the efficient and filling langar and wholesomeness and sharing it all with us 🙏🙏🙏
Abhilash did such an amazing job explaining things :)
I am excited to see your reaction on Jallianwala Bagh.
A very nice vlog of the temple visit. It was truly done peacefully and that comes out in the video. I must also commend your host Abhilash for the low-touch but in his own way very comprehensive way he explained everything and took you through the temple visit and the earlier food tour also. Well done, Abhilash.
You guys should’ve gone inside the kitchen. It’s so amazing and you would’ve been surprised by how many people volunteering everyday to help out!
I travelled the world, doing Seva at Harmandir Sahib was the greatest memory I have to this day
Filming inside the temple's kitchen is prohibited now.
Toh lauda waste humko dikha raha hai
Most underrated channel on UA-cam by far in my opinion. You guys deserve a million and i know you will get there soon!
Visiting darbaar sahib(golden temple) everytime becomes so special and memorable... visited last week and I'm still there in my mind and memories.. that s why this is most visited place in world...it gives u so much positivity.. u can't even imagine..
Luvd dem yr... Look at korbin guys he doesnt like anybody to touch his food and eat wid hands but he respected the prasad. i watch all der videos but nevr comnted but today i felt like i should appreciate dem.and the guy is explaining dem very well i really like him❤
Sry my english is not good.. Just want to express
This is there 1st trip and they barely know about Indian culture.. they are learning they are experiencing everything for the first time.. they are on their first trip to India. please let them explore and enjoy... They are sharing everything so that we can also experience the same... Yes u can educate them but not by putting negative comments but by suggesting them in a positive and meaningful way... Thank you. we all are one fam❤️.. #stupidfam
It's beautiful, love this video ❤having lots of memories now.. one thing I can relate to this is.. there are so many people in golden temple but still there's a peace in the atmosphere..have experienced that❤❤
People here saying that accepting deg(parshad) from someone else's hands is unhygienic... I will say don't comment unless you understand everything.
A gurudwara is the cleanest and the most hygienic place. Volunteers help there 24/7 by moping, scrubbing every single tile.
You can not enter the place without washing your hands and feet.
Right
Korbin looks punjabi 💓 greetings from a punjabi
Hey guys apply Indian Nationality now you know the culture which you have adopted. Keep coming to The Great India again n again I love you my friends.
Liked the video before watching it, confident no way this can go wrong
I m from Gujarat and I love sikh community and punjabis they are always ready to serve country and society 🙏. By the I love Roshan Singh Sodhi from Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashma....
I love jethalal and champak chacha
Loved vlog , thanks Rick and Korbin for honouring the traditions. Good to see you wearing those head bands. One thing bothered me was the amount of food wasted. For us food wastage is like dishonoring of God.
The guy behind at 11:05 was just happy to be part of the video and kept following for more screen time 😂
Travel through Himachal Pradesh and uttharakhand
Come to nainital guys
Indeed
Yes beautiful mountains and hill stations
Yes good places, like Nainitaal, Mossuri, $ dhams, Hemkunt, Pitoragarh, Nanak Matta. I been to UK 17 times. But find bizmen greedy. You buy even water to drink. Prices are higher side. Only free langar at Sikh gurughars. The paharias do not like it.
Waheguru...
Korbin i must say this os the best video i saw about Foregniers visiting Golden Temple... That was just so peaceful ... i felt that i was there only.. Thats the positivity of Shri Harmandir Sahib.. Thank you for coming here.. and just spread love as always.. i really wish i will visit Amritsar again soon..😊
I am delightful of u guys visiting the holy temple. Such a peaceful place to visit no matter where ur in India. Thkx guys for this wonderful video. 🥰
Glad you completed most of your Indian trip before lockdown..👍

I am crying tight now. Left my city 3 months ago to study in canada but this is nostalgic and i really hoped i would have been there with you guys, taking you to explore around my city and ohhhhh i am drooling after seeing the langar😭😭🤭
11.30-12.04 see the smile on the gentleman's face in background. He is just a proud sikh listing praise for his community.

Satnaam 🙏shri wahe guruji..
Korbin u r looking👍😊 great..
You brought back the memories of our 1st visit to golden temple..💙✌
"The most peaceful crowded place" Is such an apt description of Golden Temple. There's an inherent tranquility to the space, sacred indeed.
Korbin has a nack for coming up with unassuming yet very accurate descriptors.
Filming here is not ALLOWED 😂
5:22 he is person who helped me not to click even a single picture 😭
MUSIC WORLD you should make them feel that we are appreciating the beauty of Golden Temple or we are Live Chatting with our mother/father/brother and showing it to them in New York😂😂
Filming is allowed.
@@singhjasbeer5216 😂😂
MUSIC WORLD Haha But bro this really works, they shouldn’t feel that you are focussing on yourself, they should feel that the Gurudwara is in focus. Also the fact that filming is allowed like told by Jasmeet above
Thank you Corbin for stepping out of your comfort zone
Include Madurai , Hampi , Ajanta Allora kailasa ,Jaipur and luxury train Golden chariot in your itinerary..🙂👍👍
A definitely beautiful video. Korbin "Miles" Singh and Rick Segall, Indrani and Abilash, love and respects
Jai waheguriji.

Happy holi in advance for all 😍🙏
Rick and Korbin Experienced and felt the gratitude of ONE of the Indian Temple and Many more different cultural temples and heritage are Fascinating with same Golden Temple's "Niswarth Sava Bhav"[ humanity / Selfless aspect ], need to experience & feel the Tranquility and Bliss of magnificent cultural temples of INDIA. Jo bole so Nihaal, Sat sri akaal. JAI HIND.
Korben lowered his lense at 9:13 when a lady came. #respect
Korbin breathes and poops also..#respect him for that as well
@@priyak3337 lol 😄
Dear Rick and Korbin I've seen most of your videos but this one truly touched my heart.. many westerners explore the flashy side of India by travelling on ultra luxurious Maharajas express train, staying at luxurious hotels , visiting exotic destinations etc. but you're exploring India in the simplest manner by mingling with the local people, like a commoner , adapting to the local culture, eating with them, talking to them in a simple and humble way which is the best way to experience the real India ... You're awesome!!
Oh no, that ended way too quick and left me wanting for more! Hope there is another video for Wagah border.
Thank you, Abhilash Mottan! You personify Indian friendliness and hospitality. Great Job 🙂
Really happy for you that you had this experience!!!
Best observation by Korbin - It’s The Most Peaceful and Most Crowded Place 🙏
You should've served the food too!! It's an amazing experience
Have always loved Sikhism for its principles and for giving more value to human life regardless of caste, creed, colour, race, religion. No matter where in the world, but u will always find Sikhs helping and feeding people with whatever they have.💕
7:28 I thought Korbin Singh would go Tunuktunktun there😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
That Daler Mehndi dance step is an epic between us as well, frequently used in Indian weding
@@manishmishra7403 that's good to know😊
No Bhai not at Harmandir Sahib, maybe outside
You can get this level of peacefulness also in the major temples.... but if you go to odhisa please go to jagannatha temple ..... and just feel it.... also if you go gujrat you ought to go to somnath temple to experience something you possibly never did.... after all it's India..... you would love every major temple here
These vlogs need to be longer !! Like way longer !
Music started on 2.31 was awesome, so soothing , calm, hearable, devotional .... Welcome to India guys
11:17 humko bhi video mai ana hai. 😂😂😂
Hahaha
The beauty about you guys is the amount of authenticity you show towards indian culture, thank you
And we have korbin😂
Its really inspiring to see how you guys respect other culture...I am really a fan of you guys.. :)
God Bless you Two..✨

Finally u ppl are here... Welcome to INDIA 🇮🇳😍
I wished Korbin had cried. With emotions!!!
May be I am asking for too much 😂😂
😂😂
Me too
Korbin plz hug that guide from our side..he was so relaxed not in any rush and was explaining everything so nicely..damn i love it..thank you to both spl Korbin receiving the prashad with hands from another person's hand and eating it and keeping the respect of the culture
Probably nobody told Korbin that we don’t want to waste the Prasad. Anyways first time...Nice edit though.
Whoa!.. Did I see Korbin eating with his hands.. I understand that it must have been very difficult for him, but the fact that he stepping out of his comfort zone trying to respect ones culture really needs to be appreciated and applauded. Proud of you man.. Welcome to India Korbin and Rick..
Delighted to see you guys over there.
Ohhh yes I was waiting for this vidieo golden tempel. I am from punjab india and I feel SOOO SOOOO happy when you come here and express yourself. Thank you so much so much🙏waheguru
Also checkout the "Jaliya wala Baagh" where tons of innocent indian people were shoot by Britishers...and "Waaga Border"
They were not only Sikhs.
Not sure if I like this comment. Not becuase I didn’t like what you said. But Jaliya wala baga is simehow so close to my heart. A little kid from Maharashtra listing to song Jaliya wala baar ye dekho yehi chali thi goliya, Ye Mat poocho kisne kheli yaha khoon ki holiya. Just something would run in my body every time I heard the para.

If you go to the top floor of the golden temple, you can see one of the copy of the Adi Granth placed by the 5th Guru Arjan, which was one of the first holy books that eventually became part of the Guru Grant Sahib!
All reactions r good but this is My best reaction of all time.. 😍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Now this is type of person you guys need, to guide you and tell you about different traditions and cultures you are gonna witness. He is so patient and calm
Sat Sree akaal brother
You guys are one of the luckiest people to visit this auspicious place. God invited you.
5:22 exactly my thoughts..
That’s the beauty of worship places in India. They r crowded yet so peaceful... i visited the golden temple when i was a teenager and loved the place.. the vibe.. the people! 💓
Wasted so much food. Thank you guys.
