Actually in the first season Monica said that the appartment was her grandma’s and that’s why she could afford it
And Chandler said "because of rent control, this place was a friggin' steal"
They actually mention it multiple times. Treger even said he will complain and get them evicted because of illegal subletting when joey went to threaten him.
1:25 " i feel like friends in season 8 out of ideas , forcing Joey and Rachel together , even though it made no sense" this is the best line .. Everyone criticized and hated this story and this shows how unsuccessful and wrong the idea of that story was.

The thing about Ross and Phoebe being a weird combo was true in the early seasons, but I feel like in the later seasons there were several plots involving them. I think a weirder combo would've been Chandler and Phoebe or Chandler and Rachel.
true, but i think it came from thw fact that Phoebe was kinda mean to Ross in several times to consider them a good combo

Now a days Lisa Kudrow gives the best appearances in TV shows, like in Kimmy Schmidt. And in each one they had already mentioned Friends!!

Love TGP but the "how did they afford the apartment" thing drives me crazy. Friends answered and referenced this question in several episodes. Why do people think the show never addressed this?
Wasn't it some kind of Monica's Aunt or Grandma. Last episode did allude to it.
They did reference it but still the number was too much. A masseuse, chef, waiter, rising actor paying for those apartment! real people who connected to Friends character living in Manhattan knows it.
@@zuhayrroha4392 Monica was illegally subletting her grandmother's rent-controlled apartment. She and Rachel almost got evicted for it. Chandler had a well-paying job (plus his family had money) and he paid Joey's half of the rent when Joey wasn't working. Pheobe being able to live alone on a message therapist's salary is a bit of a stretch tho.
The point is, if Michael was so obsessed with the show, he would have known these things.
Its not only Friends. People ask this a lot for other shows.

-In Season 2,- Michael says that Phoebe is the only Friend who should have made it to the Good Place.
In Season 4, Hypatia of Alexandria is the only philosopher that Chidi knows who has made it to the Good Place, and is played by the same actress.

1:54 I can't be the only one who didn't make this connection to Lisa Kudro's guest appearance a few episodes later. I guess I forgot about this scene with Michael by the time Kudro showed up.

Ross: Arrogant and made his insecurities/paranoia other people's problem. Also, he dated a student (technically wasn't his student when he started dating her) but still EWWWW! Once tried with his cousin, don't need to say much more just EWWWWWWW!
Rachel: Selfish, ruined two of Ross's relationships (and almost a marriage but thankfully the plane guy scolded her), denied any part she played in the break, and was a total jerk to her friends during her last week of pregnancy (especially to Ross which she repeatedly harassed him to have sex with her). Not the only time she did that, she also tried to have sex with him when her dad had a heart attack and Ross said no. The next day, she was rude to him and demanded that next time he'd "just do it" even though he clearly didn't want to. The reason why he said no doesn't matter, no means NO! Also, she dated her assistant and almost got both of them in trouble when she gave him a fake employee evaluation in an official envelope.
Monica: Ordered people around like a drill sergeant with tasks and games and was overly competitive to the point that it risked Chandler's job once. Also repeatedly uncompromising with her apartment where she fights over anything she doesn't like such as Rachel's lamp or Chandler's chair. Even when she lets them win, she will still complain about it until it ends up broken.
Joey: A womanizer. He was nice to his friends but was a kind of a douche to any other girl. "Joey doesn't share food" unless he thinks your dessert looks tasty.
Chandler: Made jokes to the point that it annoyed everyone around him. Once called Monica fat when he was in college behind her back (although that led to Monica losing weight to where her "heart's not in trouble anymore" and her accidentally cutting his toe off so I don't think he'd lose many points for that ). Once manipulated a girl to date him by pretending to be someone else, almost screwing over a guy and his shot with a girl.
Pheobe: Mugged people including Ross (when they were kids and she had to do it to survive but the point in The Good Place is they didn't care about nuances) and had a secret affair with a man obsessed with pigeons on the roof.
TLDR: Friends revival in hell when?
In today standards they would not be able to afford the apartment they lived in . A waitress and a chief? No way!

It's actually because of a old apartment rent law, the building was constructed before 1947 and Monica's grandmother owned the apartment, she and Ross visited her during their school vacations so after her death Monica lived their illegally or else their was no way they would live in west village
As for chandler he had a steady job and his family was also rich so he vould afford that place
