@@patrick-dev I doubt that was a deliberate message the producers/writers wanted to send. While it may be true that a lot of awful selfish people appear to be rewarded in life, I believe that the people who matter will always be attracted to people like Joey.

Matt Leblanc needs the most credit for the loveable Joey. The Joey character was written as dopey, a playboy and a jerk. After the pilot, He convinced the creators to change the character from a jerk to a sweetheart. Genius suggestion and smart decision to listen to him.

Joey was *never* a cheater. He lied, he pretended, he dated left and right, but he never cheated on the women he was seeing, he'd dump them before that.
Also he was serious a few times, it just never worked out (Janine, Charlie, Kathy, Rachel, Ursula...) and several times it didn't work out because of his friends, actually.
I think the only one in the group who legit cheated was Ross (on several occasions he kissed Rachel while being in a relationship with someone else), I'm not sure too but Rachel might have cheated on a boyfriend/partner with Ross too ? Tag with Ross ? I'm not 100% sure anymore, my memories of the show aren't perfect anymore.

Yeah man really.... Like i have recently started my career about a year ago but during a brief break the saddest thing that happened to me were the memories of my childhood and bachelor life friends who I couldn't meet again
He was always a horn dog not willing to settle. I think it would've gone against his character to settle down

Joey maybe sometime stupid or slow in catching up with his friends but he’s street wise, he’s compassionate which makes him better than the others in terms of being sensitive and supportive.
Liked him for being always thinking about his friends first before his own happiness.
-He let Chandler date Kathy because Chandler is in love even though the two kissed while kathy and joey are still dating
-He let go Rachel for the sake of Ross’ awkwardness of the idea of them dating
-He kept the secret of Monica and Chandler
-He kissed Phoebe when she found out that on her birthday that she is really 31 and missed the list she wrote before she turned 30
-He took out Rachel on a date so she wont feel lonely because she’s pregnant.
Not to mention he proposed to Rachel and phoebe cause he thought phoebe was pregnant and didn’t want her to be a single mother and when he found out Rachel was the one who was actually pregnant he did it for the same reason.
And the fact that he was gonna beat up Trigger cause he made Rachel cry and that he danced with Trigger so the girls wont get evicted also when that charming upstairs neighbor of Monica's and Rachel's brought another girl to his house right the next day he went our with Phoebe
And don't forget he volunteered to go and protect chandler and ross from those bullies

Joey was the best friend to everyone in the gang, he wasn't the brightest but was always there when someone needs him
We all think he was a great friend to Chandler. What everyone fails to remember is that he never paid Chandler back the money he owed him, which in one episode we learn that it is around 10,000 bucks. That is definitley NOT the way to treat anyone, much less your "best" friend. Paying our debts is tremendously important, but most folks seem to have forgotten that.
When I started watching friends, Chandler was my fav character by the end it changed to Joey ..he's such a great friend!!..the best written character ❤️

You forgot one of the most genuine things joey did. When chandler and monica were trying to be sneaky and joey thought monica was with another guy so he gave chandler a heads up and waited at the hall with a baseball bat
