  • A short loop hike in the 3,400 acre Green Lane Park, Montgomery County's largest park. Green Lane features upland forests, meadows, wetlands, and three bodies of water - Green Lane Reservoir, Deep Creek Lake, and Knight Lake. The park is a haven for birds, fish, and other wildlife amidst the densely populated southeastern portion of Pennsylvania. This is an excellent place to picnic, fish, hike , and explore, the rolling hills of northern Montgomery County and a place where I like to come to relax and walk casually amongst the various habitats. On this hike we will see two lakes, the Perkiomen Creek, an historic bridge, rock structures, mature forest, and various features of this popular and beloved park. #natureadventurediscovery #scenicpennsylvania

Before your channel, Arizona, Montana, Colorado places like Zion I thought I should visit in North America. Pennsylvania was not one of those destinations, but I learned so much through your videos. It seems that Pennsylvania has everything for hiking, landscape, mountains, swamps, forests... So much variety, it seems like an inexhaustible place to shoot. The video is incredible, they have already become small documentaries.

Not only are you a truly gifted film maker but your comments are so inspiring as well. Yes, if I was going to visit the United States and had to choose one region I would focus on the west, probably the Pacific Northwest, but America is truly a vast and amazing place, it is basically like 50 individual countries. Pennsylvania is my home and it is my honor and joy to show the beauty, history, and culture of the place I call home.

Twenty minutes from my home and I worked in Green Lane for eighteen years. I used to take the Snyder Road Bridge home everyday before it was closed. Thanks for sharing.

I love Green Lane Park! I went there a lot when I was a kid. They used to let you swim in the lake years ago.
The Perkiomen Trail is great to ride your bike on! I would ride south to Valley Forge Park and back from Collegeville all the time!
    Another enjoyable video! Thanks 🙏

Sooner or later we are bound to run into each other, there are only so many places to recreate in our neck of the woods, lol. I imagine the Perky being a great ride, I have hiked, or should I say walked a few sections over the years... Thanks for your continued support of the channel Jeff, I truly do appreciate you.

Lovely episode! FYI, UA-cam didn't present me with your recent uploand, I had to go to to your chnnel to check on you 'cause it seemed like a long time since I'd seen anything from you. Sorry I didn't watch sooner! I love looking through your lens. Peace & Prayers.

Thanks for letting me know about that. I have said many times, anyone who claims to understand exactly how and why the UA-cam algorithm works is full of it! But I thank you sincerely Carol for watching and always being so supportive!

I live 10 minutes from here and agree with you that it's a quick and easy place to get into nature without going too far. There is a part of the park away from the main area that is really awesome. Park off Knight Rd sometime and hike in from there; you'll love the overlooks.

Thanks for that tip. When I was doing some research on green lane I was looking at some documents on a PDF of natural areas inventory of Montgomery county and critical habitat. I did come across a reference to something called the knight rd bluffs I believe. I was curious about it having never heard of it and couldn't find any other references to it, but I bet this is what you are talking about!
