Here in india i pay around CAD 80 for unlimited home fibre connection 100mbs speed for whole year , around 48 CAD for whole year of cell phone plans with unlimited 5g data & calls , taxes are included in plans
I know there are a lot of discounts for family plans and military folks in the US, but I have never thought of trying to negotiate plan prices. I wonder if that is a thing here
I pay $25 a month for unlimited calls and text with 1gb, and for my wife's plan $30 a month for 15 gb. We can transfer data to eachother and unused data is available the next month. Internet plan at home is $43 a month unlimited at 100mbps.
@@dianawanders3417 Fizz for the phone plan. My wife and I switched plans since last comment and now have 4gb, unlimited text amd calls for 22$ a month. The prices vary all the time, but once you choose a plan, the price is locked
I just switched providers after years with Virgin, irony is I went with Bell (Virgin's parent company) Didn't save much even with BYOP, but I gained other benefits which made it a practical move. On the flip side, I previously travelled in Europe and unforeseen circumstances meant I had to extend my stay far longer than envisioned. Consequently, I had to put my phone number in dormancy for a monthly fee to retain until I returned. In Europe I went with a monthly top up which was much cheaper than the dormancy fee I was paying (conversion included). The top up included unlimited minutes, North America and Europe unlimited calling and text - attachments. It cost me more to retain my number in absence than it did to pay for service far superior whilst travelling. Providers try to justify this by saying that the cost of infrastructure to provide service over larger coverage area's than in Europe are their greatest cost.
I usually set aside money to buy a new phone outright, so I don’t have to get a contract for a new phone with one of the carriers. I go for BYOP phones, I currently pay $29 with 20gb (I’m with Virgin). In my experience, the benefit of living in Ottawa is having access to Quebec plans. When I go to a store to switch providers, they offer Quebec plans, which are $5 to $10 cheaper for the same amount of data
Yeah, honestly, the prices are ridiculous. How would you go about finding a plan with the purchase of a new phone? For example I would like to upgrade my phone because the camera doesn't function that well anymore and the screen is cracked. But I can not settle myself to pay for soo much. Haha, literally with the wasting time stuff I always commute or do errands while I'm "waiting"
It’s a lack of competition, USA has over 100 telcos , we here have 10-16 , we’ve tried in 2013 to bring in US carriers here, but the regulations are to protect the big three .
The thing is -{ if you have any sense of what these companies are doing} They are stringing you along, And we shouldn't have to do this but, If you really think about it We the public Own the company so we need to keep those so called regulators in line - It's not the other way around. It's either That or All of them are Lying to us who pay there wages. Period!
That was windy of Italy dey would have help you people but you people are so stupid voting for people that do not put the competition laws in place I had Canada as so many educated people yet so dumb paying all this for subscription
Question - how much do you pay for your phone plan?
last year when i visited canada in the summer for 2 months, i got 15gb for $35
@@lukegamer1248 Hello! what is the name of the company network?
@@dianawanders3417 the offer doesnt exist anymore but it was Freedom who offered it.
We should just charge the big three as fascists and hold all their CEOs as supremacists😂
I pay about 5 euros per month in eastern Europe. That's about $7.5 CAD per month. Unlimited talk, text and 100Gbs of data.

sounds like it might not even be needed to negotiate prices if the price in the states are reasonable lol

nice, ya i find choosing the sub division company costs less, and services are more/less similar.
I just found out I was double charged for a plan change, via Rogers. Two months of plan change fees. For one change.
sorry to hear - that must be frustrating getting double charged.
I enjoyed this video.
Glad you enjoyed it

Same process for phone upgrades I'd - jump straight to retention and negotiate away
Just go with Freedom.
