This was my 1st Wallie B video i watched during lockdown. 1 way to get out of the house without leaving home, lol. Loved touring Pennsylvania, had relatives in Pittsburgh, as well as Martinsburg, Bethlehem, etc. thanks Wallie for this. I think my favorite of your videos.
Thank you for your video. I plan to retire to Pittsburgh from Sunny California. I have been to Pittsburgh many times and was very impressed. I spent one week in the winter and walked everywhere. i was properly dressed and was never cold even though it was 5 degrees outside. I love the homes in Pittsburgh and plan to buy one. California and the west Coast is imploding culturally and politically. Bottom line people must make peace with the Idea of work and paying ones bills. I plan to volunteer my time in a variety of places.
@@colinmontgomery1956 Don't kid yourself there are plenty of wonderful things about Los Angeles. In the winter look up at the San Gabriel Mountains after a storm and marvel at the snow line.
@@jameshanson3759 , I know it. I never doubted it. But, there are many wonderful things about Pennsylvania, too. I remember sometimes trying to imagine what it must be like to grow up in a place of perpetual summertime. And I remember distinctly thinking that the kids in Southern California must be cheated for not having built snowmen or playing in the leaves during the Fall.
@@colinmontgomery1956 I have a wonderful story for you. I went to church in Pasadena Ca and every winter my highschool department would go to Snow Camp in the San Bernardino Mountains. I was born and raised in the Mon Valley, but left 30 yrs ago. I've been in New Zealand for 23 yrs now. I miss white Christmas so much! Thanks for sharing!
enjoyed the video. In 1990-1991 I was part of the morning show on what used to be Variety 96... a lot of memories getting lost trying to find my way around Pittsburgh!
Thanks so much for doing this. I from Pittsburgh, but I now live in Georgia which hardly ever gets any snow❄️The only time I get homesick is this time of the year, because we have snowless Christmas’s 🎄This was just beautiful, and amazing for me to see. I wish you, and your family a safe, and wonderful holiday.....
moved to beaver county, rochester, pa about 35 min north of Pittsburgh in 2012 from San Jose, Calif ( 45 south of San Francisco ), the first time i drove in a snow storm i was so freaked out and was in the slow lane going 25 mph__LOL, i dont mind winter because it is so hot and humid here in summer, i was use to dry heat in california, humidity is very draining, i have no energy, so i get excited when the weather gets cold, cuz i dont have to take 2 showers a day, and i hike, walk, clean house, without sweating__yeah
I got to visit in January of 2017 and then again on December 2017 to January 2018...I got to celebrate New years there. First time I went, there was no snow and as a native Southern California girl who had never seen snow in my life...I was disappointed. Hopefully I can visit Pittsburgh again in the future.

I still think it's crazy watching you cruise around Pittsburgh on the same road I travel all the time. Brother when I was a kid it seemed like we always had snow, now it just comes and goes. It was a nice little bit of snow, not a whole lot but enough to make it nice outside.

Hi, Wallie! I really enjoy watching your videos, especially the Christmas and driving videos! Ad for the winter season and snow, I honestly, only like snow around Christmas time. Have a KMartlicious day! Have Pittsburghlicious day! Though, I know that's kind of corny, but I really don't care, but I had to say that, because you're driving in Pittsburgh. Stay awesome!
Our first snowfall in Lubbock & West Texas was before Halloween for 2 days, mixed with sleet & freezing rain. I'm hoping for a decent winter this year with snow which this is what I miss being in the north. Thank you for sharing Wallie! 🙂❄❄❄❄
Wow, and meanwhile, here in Minnesota (at least here in the Twin Cities), we have no snow on the ground, except for some still sticking around in some parking lots and stuff. Otherwise, no snow to be found and we've been having a quite interesting late autumn here. If anything, the only real measurable snow we've had was probably just before Halloween, but otherwise, it's just been a mix of 30s and 40s mostly with no snow in the forecast again until 10 days before Christmas. I'm guessing that probably won't stick around though considering how warm it's been, so I wouldn't be surprised if we have a green Christmas as I like to call it. Thanks for the drive!
Verified Pittsburgh ✔ by the cranes I saw as he was entering town that video was definitely from December / January, the route in the video is (Start: Homestead Gray's Bridge, continues strait as beechwood Blvd to the parkway east, Goes to Town and merges with i-579 (Crosstown Blvd) and take the East Ohio exit (PA route 28) 😬 and for good measure you end your video right before you passed the 31st Street Bridge by my job site! But the video is a good example of Pittsburgh snow, although there wasn't much this year you caught that one day
It can be hit or miss honestly. Its hard to say until about a week before. It can be 60 for a couple of days and then all of a sudden we get a cold front that brings us a few inches of snow. Normally the worst isn't until February though.
thanks for the video, i drove to all the Ross dress for less looking for matching area rugs weekend of 1/9/21, i went to settlers cabin in robinson by ikea, then next day to aspinwall, and pittsburgh mills, i was gonna go to homestead, pa this weekend but it snowed, and i need to buy new all season tires. so maybe next weekend___also pittsburgh, pa has alot of haunted place for ghosthunters like me, bigfoot sightings, ufo/alien sighting etc.. etc... my theory about hauntings i think all the hills and streams/creeks, the water is a conductor of electro magnetic energy, hence all the hauntings and weird creature sightings
