- One person is dead and three people have been taken to hospital after a daylight shooting in Vaughan Friday morning, York police said.
Officers were called to the Woodbridge area of Casa Nova Drive near Davos Road and Fossil Hill Drive just before 9 a.m. for a shooting.

Unfortunately, that does not stop criminals from obtaining firearms, because they dont care about the law.
Why is it that whenever there is a firearms related incident, peoples response is to make more laws, ban guns. We already have a handgun freeze in place. We have some of the strictest firearms laws and yet gun violence is rising. Why is that? Because criminals dont follow the law, thats whay they are criminals. Banning guns or introducing new laws is not gonna change anything. What they need to do is address is issue of illegal firearms being smuggled into Canada from the US. That where criminals are getting their firearms from. Also, stop this catch and release bullshit.
