Yes, it gets hot there. I caught the recent record of 107. I was surprised to hear people mentioning how how "high" the humidity was when it was 40%. In the midwest, that's really low.

Keep in mind everyone this is a semi arid climate, at least on average 300 days of blue sky, semi cold in the Winter but mild with snow sticking maybe onces or twice a year, dry season from May to Mid-July and Monsoon season starting from mid July to Mid September, during this time humidity goes up and really awesome to see thunderstorms that are not a threat except for cloud to ground lightning raining for 15 to 20 minutes and clearing out, these storms are convection based storms in warm front environments there is no wind to push them except for the wind created by other thunderstorms nearby. These storms more at speeds of only 1 mph or less so they do take a while to move out. Also there is a few retirement communities in North Grand Junction, The Cottages, The Fountain and the Commons with an assisted living community on the first two floors, ran by HIlltop. off of 12th street and I think 26 road. Canyon View might be the Biggest city owned park in Grand Junction, but the Longest State Park in Colorado winds along both sides of the Colorado River and goes through Palisade, through Grand Junction, and ends just past Fruita, lots of fishing rafting and water areas and biking and hiking trails in the area.

How is the Clifton area? I’m originally from Colorado Springs but am contemplating moving to GJ.

Older homes generally but many new builds within the past few years. We always suggest driving through all the different areas to get a feel for the valley : )

Can you make a video talking about crime in Grand Junction and how it compares to the national average please? What things do people need to look out for the most?

We can tell you that Christie has been here since 1975 and I've been here for almost 20 and we've never had any issues. 🙂 As far as providing stats and such, the Division of Real Estate frowns upon that but there are a number of websites such as Neighborhood Scout. Take those stats with a grain of salt. We're a small town : )
