I don’t understand how Oscar can say in regard to California that he doesn’t know which parties fault it is. California is the perfect example of failed democrat party policies. The last republican senator was in 1992 and the last governor was 2006. All the biggest city’s , LA, SF, SD, Sac are all democrat ran cites. California has the highest gas, food, housing, mortgage, rent prices in the country only second I think to New York which will all know has been democrat ran for decades. I tell this to people all the time and somehow they still vote blue. They move from blue states to red states for better cost of living like Texas and Florida and then insist on voting democrat. Yeah, but homelessness is much bigger than a state level problem. The reason states are left to handle it, is because the government that controls the economy doesn't want to fix homelessness. The government is concerned with paying less interest on the money they borrowed. The higher the inflation, the less money they have to spend on repaying loans. To fix homelessness for about half the people, we need negative inflation. But, our government will NEVER do that. Because it means paying back more money in loans than they borrowed.

I agree that the barrier to voting needs to be higher.
There are a lot of low information voters, low intelligence voters, and voters that are narrow minded single issue voters (welfare, abortion, etc.)
The problem is that there are no good metrics that can eliminate the ignorant, the corrupt, or the misinformed voter.
Sure, you can do an IQ test, but the problem with that is there are many highly successful and highly intelligent people v0te bLuE nO mAttEr wh0. I have many clients in the most affluent neighborhood and they truly believe that the Democrats are the party that serves the people. Many of them come from generational wealth and have little to no contact with people outside of their social circle.
The reality is that the culture, rather than the politicians, is the problem. The politicians are often just a reflection of the people who vote for them.
No policy change in the voting system can fix that.
Outside of returning to the morals and ethics of our Judeo-Christian heritage, the only policy changes that can be made that will have the greatest impact on slowing this decay is to get rid of welfare, lobbying, and this Ponzi scheme of a banking system that runs our country.

Both parties. The truth is the last great governor of California was Reagan, and since Reagan both parties have ruled California for 24 years each. Since Reagan there has actually been more Republican governors in California. California actually goes back and forth with the parties. Neither party has done anything for California. Since the 90s there has been more Republican governors in California. Both sides have ruined the state. It was not too long ago that we had multiple Republican governors, and they did nothing. Both sides are to blame. The most blame though goes to the citizens, for not only electing bad people, but for passing so many horrible laws. In California they get to vote on laws, and the citizens have passed a bunch of bad laws. Basically everybody in California is to blame.

I remember when Oscar used to come to the Trump Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes CA. He used to play golf there a lot. He loves Trump. California is a disaster. We have all been burned by the Political Policies there.
