Patti Lupone comes in a little under the notes at times, but warms them into pitch, but at least she's got the voice for this role. Bernadette Peters is just awful as Rose and Tyne Daly doesn't have the vocal requirements, although she acts the part well. My favorites in this role are Angela Lansbury and Bette Midler.
Though she still sounds published compared to broadway vocalists like Idina Menzel. The thing about Patti is she never enunciates her words so she can glide easily between her notes.
Yeah Patti was FLAT on that last note. Both her singing and acting of the role improved drastically on Broadway. It shows even the greats need time to get it right.
Just because she sings loud doenst mean it's good
