Megadeth is in my top 5 favorite metal bands but Dave kinda makes me laugh. He always(to me) acted like Megadeth was gonna be some insane Thrash band like Slayer or even more brutal. But even their crazier stuff isn't that intense, don't get me wrong I love it but it's nothing insane. Compared to stuff that was around at the time it doesn't seem that insane
ROLLL TA DICE DONT THINK TWICE OR WE CRUSH ( CRUUUUUUUSH) CRUSH EM (CRUSH EEEEEM) it’s funny because GOLDBERG crushed all my hopes and dreams of the fiend bray Wyatt’s universal title reign
I read somewhere marty friedman original wanted this album to be like the band x japan where the soft song they fully embraced the ballad sort of stuff but then do extremely heavy songs aswell
Literally, And I'm sure they never really gave a listen to any of the 2000s albums cause all of those albums have at least one song that's waaaay better than spit out the bone, AND IT WAS THRASH
@jamminjared3666 Facts. Megadeth on average have indispensably 3 bangers an album. Post 2000s onwards. However 2016s Dystopia and 2022s The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead! Both reach the high standard of 83-97 albums great top to bottom releases. It's expected that they will once again reach that standard with the release in 2025 if not push beyond it. By releasing a genre defining and pioneering album. Their new guitarist has clicked in with Mustaine like I've never seen before ever.. He is so cued in to the Megadeth machine already. Quite excited to actually see what they do together it think it's going to be quite special. Lots of people will know about Teemu with the new album. He seems to understand that you don't have to accept that Rust in Peace can't be bettered that it's very possible to produce something today that impresses people and hooks people in a big big way. This is Megadeths moment. This has come because Mustaine has never given up he has worked his craft and continued to successfully putting out albums. I do think the 98-2014 was a weak period for the band in terms of the quality level of the 83-97 period. To get it back to that 83-97 quality is a big achievement most bands settle and fade on their glories. That's just not Mustaine or Megadeths style.. When it started to happen with 13, Super Collider changes came and a complete bounce back was achieved. Their shows are popping off as well their venues are growing they've gone from 6,000 venues to 12,000 to 15,000+ venues. This is reflective in their charting as well now as they are now in the top 3 back to back with their last 2 albums.. Where everyone saw their audience half in size between releases Megadeth actually retained and grew their buying audience at odds with most of the metal world.. One year later Metallica released their new album and they lost their 32 year streak of number 1 and they came in at number 2.. Selling just double Megadeths new release.. The bands are albums level in terms of support today. That is testament to Megadeths achievements to continue to build and Metallicas acceptance with mediocrity. It makes those Metallica fanboys very mad to point out the trend that's happening here. Because who is going to care about Metallica when they end their run? They have 4 or 5 albums people will talk about.. Megadeth people will be discussing their entire career.. Their achievements and growth their continuing evolving sounds with the changing of members over the years but the mission being world domination.
What did YOU think of this album?
