What a fitting description: she sounds like a falling leaf. Beautifully put, Nick. This performance is of superb quality in every way possible: first the voice that tells a very disturbing story, but draws you close because of its elusive colour. Then the powerful singingskills to emphasize or hold back when needed. The skills both have to harmonize, two voices together producing this heavenly sound as if being multiplied by themselves. To create music with two voices, one guitar and a creeking floor, this rich.... and then there is Silja topping it of with her headvoice, as shiny as glass. A once in a lifetime occurrance, no pun intended. How wonderful to have this performance documented and published for the world to witness.

You should do the whole documentary, and for example divide it into two parts documentary + concert👍
HAIK (pronounced hike and means hitchhike) is a Norwegian tv show where they celebrate Norwegian artists, and the day is full of surprises for Aurora. The only thing she knows is about the concert in the end but not where it’s held😊
She’s also being interviewed along the way, so you get to know her 👍
Many Warriors and Weirdos (her fans) will gladly watch it with you❤️

Her backup singer is Silja Sol and she is a favorite in the Aurora fan community making amazing harmonies with Aurora in many performances. Unfortunately she left to pursue her own career. She was with Aurora from Jan 2014 to May 2021 with a break during 2015-2016 for her own career.

Thank you for a nice reaction. You should listen to this again, and really focus on the lyrics. People hear different things when they hear this song. Personally, I hear a song of domestic violence, and I know I’m not alone. When she says “don’t you speak over my voice”, her voice changes, and it sounds like someone who dares to speak up for herself, that might not have done it before.

Ethereal is the only way to describe her voice. And real is a part of that: she’s so authentic. I believe she transports to another plane of existence as well when she sings. Anything by her is just amazing. I think the song “Queendom” and the music video is totally underrated or reacted to, I’d love to see that!! I think you’ve done, “The Seed” already? If not, that song and music video is top notch, as is “Running with the Wolves”. Really just anything! Love your reactions! Thank you for sharing! Much light and love to you! 🙏🏻💖⭐🪶🤍🐺

A considerable part of Aurora's musical magic is due to the incredible musicians who have supported her over the years, particularly past band members Selma Stang, Silja Sol, Odd Martin Skalnes, Magnus Skylstad, Fredrik Vogsborg and current guitarist Fredrik Svabo, all of whom, I think, don't get enough credit. The Nidarosdomen version of this song is stunning (as are all the performances from that masterpiece concert). I am not aware of another artist who can create beauty from dark and difficult themes in the manner that Aurora does and then also produce material that is catchy and fun. The variety of her material is astounding. Normally one would not credit that one artist could come up with songs as diverse as "Murder Song", "The Seed", "Exist For Love", "Temporary High", "In Boxes" and "Daydreamer". Her growing number of fans eagerly await Aurora's next offerings.

Hello, you have chosen a very good song. AURORA is the queen of harmonies. This is a masterpiece.
I find it interesting that the lyrics are so sad (violence in relationships leading to death) and on the other hand the music is very beautiful (harmonies) and doesn't give me that sad feeling. The music is more soothing. This contrast struck me in many of her sad songs. Does she want to spread hope? You can change something. You can't let it get to that point. And then everything is better. An invitation to change something, to change yourself. You have it in your own hands. Is that what this contrast is supposed to do?
And let's not forget that this was sung live on a radio station and that this perfection would not have been possible without her accompaniment and backing vocalist. Silja Sol is also an outstanding singer and musician. AURORA is lucky to work with such good artists. Or is it her ability to choose the right ones? This is also the case with the Murder song at the Nobel Peace Prize concert - as you have already seen.
You should also check out the songs she played at the HAIK concert. The concert took place in the forest where she played as a child. AURORA is very close to nature. And that was the perfect place for a concert. She sees things at such a young age that other people don't understand in their entire lives.

Incredible song and performance. Also great harmonies with Silja Sol (she has very interesting voice too). It is also incredible as only guitar, Aurora and Silja can put so much into the sound landscape. One of Aurora masterpieces :). And she has so many great songs :). The song sounds heavenly but it is also about heavy topic (domestic abuse). And she is so into the song. You can even see her expressions body movements related to what she feels and what the song is about. True Artist.

The juxtaposition between the ethereal, other worldly beauty of the music and the violence of the story, is beautifully mesmerising and make for utterly compelling storytelling. Here is the magnificent Tori Amos singing also about domestic violence and it is also compellingly and achingly beautiful. ua-cam.com/video/4IhsKwfnlcA/v-deo.html

Yea , it took me several listens of this version
before I decided to look up the lyrics and inspiration in writing the song ...
    🔵🔵🔵🎇☀🌿🥀🌿☀🎇🔵🔵🔵
She had a relationship with a person once ( friend or lover not known )
Aurora mentioned that person had a very dark view of the world ...
I find the lyrics are open to interpretation which is best in my view ... more universal to each person...
The album version is quite a different feel to this one ... more studio layers sonically ...
